dooom Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I am curious how this delegation of authority works - who is parent company/ publisher/developer... what is ED relationship to the fighter collection out of Duxford? I am a little confused. Why is the Duxford / fighter collection chief's head logo on the ED/DCS sites? Chibawang Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I think they are the publishers, but also help out with development. From my understanding though, ED retains all rights to their products.
Boulund Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Did you look at the FAQ? http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=575584&postcount=37 Maybe not all answers but a good start perhaps. Nate--IRL-- Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I thought TFC owned ED as well as acting as the western publishers, no? Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
EtherealN Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Actually, TFC owns ED with a 100% stake, and ED owns TFC with a 100% stake. ;) Well, not really, but it would be funny. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
AustinN360 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics have been partners for many years, I remember the Fighter Collection's American Indian logo being on the Original SU27 Flanker game way back in '96 (Published under SSI) This is actually the first Flight Sim I ever played!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Su-27_Flanker_%28video_game%29 Edited January 7, 2010 by AustinN360
EtherealN Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I remember that one fondly. The demo allowed you to control the aircraft even after ejecting. Perfect practice if you have an RC Flanker. :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

enigma6584 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 This wonderful piece of software was my very first computer game/simulation I ever put on my brand new computer...back in 1995. I still have the original software and manual.
EtherealN Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 It was the second flight sim installed on this awesome new invention called the "Pentium". I had a 75MHz version with a whopping 8MB of RAM. The first was Chuck Yeager's Air Combat - which came with the SB16. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
