I'll pass. I'll spend big bucks on a Fanatec Wheel befor that. My x52 works just fine.

Well, I am personally looking forward to it. Compared to what it would cost me to have a Cougar with force-sensing (and hall-sensors in the throttle, and replacements for all those highly breakable parts), this is one hell of a good deal.

 

Of course it is not for everyone, and instead of complaning that it is too high-end, you should be happy that Saitek is providing various options at various prices for everyone (x-52, x-52 pro, and now this). Just like not everyone want and need the greatest, not everyone needs and wants the average or bare minimum.

 

And regarding the reviewer's credential for comparing the stick to a F16/F22:

Once the stick is released the roll should stop.

 

What aircraft do you know where you have to apply opposite aileron to stop the roll moment? I don't know any.

 

The only time you would apply opposite aileron is tp perform a crisp hesitation roll or similar.

iirc the early jet fighters (f-4 and earlier) had these kinds of control. this was before fly by wire. the early f-16a was one of the first if not the first aircraft to have neutralisation of flight control surfaces w/a stick in neutral.
