Fish Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Just got one of these puppies, to replace my ailing 8800ultra. Still tricking around with settings. If anyone has done this you might post how you got AA and vertical synch working for BS/FC. Antialiasing can be set via catalyst control center, haven't got vertical sync to work myself after switching from XP. Edit: HD4850 though Edited January 17, 2010 by sobek Good, fast, cheap. Zorg_DK Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 hope you fix it. i'm planing on getting a 5870 as well, but if vertical sync doesn't work with dcs:bs then i won't buy it. "There are only 10 types of people in the world — those who understand binary, and those who don't." [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kiss4luna Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 haven't got this card, but previously my 4850's VS-function is ok in bs RTX 3070
Axion Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Get yourself RivaTuner and use the D3Doverider tool within to enable Vsync for BS. Only tested on Windows7 but it should also work with Vista. http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner Asus Z390 Code XI, i9-9900K, RAM 32 Gig Corsair Vengeance @ 3200, RTX 2080 TI FE, TIR 5, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB, HOTAS WH, ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q, HTC Vive Pro, Win 10 x64

Any advice for AF ? seeing a lot of shimmering around distant towns etc. Have set it to 8x in the ati control panel. Any advice for AF ? seeing a lot of shimmering around distant towns etc. Have set it to 8x in the ati control panel. I crank it up to 16X AF and 4X AA at 1920X1200. FYI CF does nothing for BS. EDIT: It appears I can set AA to 16X in the control panel with no hit in FPS in CF. Can't really tell any difference in image quality though. Any advice for AF ? seeing a lot of shimmering around distant towns etc. Have set it to 8x in the ati control panel. Same here. Tried every possible combination of AA and AF on Catalyst 10.6. Also tried other stuff like AI off/on, Vsync, etc. I'm beggining to think that I did a really bad move changing my old 9800GTX+ OC by this ATI. EDIT: version 10.5 solved the problem. 10.6 is buggy.
