ScEBlack1 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Hi all, sorry I did use the search but to no avail. I use the latest driver for my trackir 5 and have it setup in my trackir section (pause, center, precision) but it does not work in the sim, can someone explain to me how to get it working in the sim, thank you.
MTFDarkEagle Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Ok. let's begin sorting this out, I know how troublesome missing ur trackir can be :P. Is the software tracking in the trackir software itself? Is it working in other games? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
ScEBlack1 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Yes and Yes, thanks for your help by the way.
slug88 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 When you launch the Trackir software, there should be a command in the menu somewhere that reads something like "Update Games List". Click that and it should work. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
MTFDarkEagle Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 are the axis of the trackir assigned in dcs options? (axis commands) Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
ScEBlack1 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 "When you launch the Trackir software, there should be a command in the menu somewhere that reads something like "Update Games List". Click that and it should work." I will try this. "are the axis of the trackir assigned in dcs options? (axis commands)" no
ScEBlack1 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 no none of those worked. "are the axis of the trackir assigned in dcs options? (axis commands)" should they be though?
ScEBlack1 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Please does anyone have a clue as to what could be wrong, one of the best parts of this sim is trackir and I can't get it to work. I have another post about my new X52pro not working with the lates drivers for it, in the "axis commands" section there was no ability to click in the little boxes under the Saitek column, BUT, when I went into the game to try the trackir the trackir worked. I had to delete those profiles for the X52pro and set up my older X52 (regular) and download the X52 driver and sst programming and now my X52 works under the "axis command" section, BUT, now trackir does not work...wtf!!! please help.
ScEBlack1 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Ok I get it I do need to set the axis commands for trackir. Can someone pleses tell me what commands for trackir relate to these movement, I only have yw so far. absolute camera horizontal = absolute camera vertical = absolute camera horizontal shift view = absolute camera longitude shift view = absolute camera roll shift view = thanks all.
majapahit Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 (edited) arent you supposed to delete a 'tackir' file somewhere in the config for the 1 first time, to make Trackir work? do your lights on the trackir work? and when you put your hand in front of the headreflectors, the lights change? can remember I deleted a file once, 1st time then my trackir 4 just works (lates beta software) check the software First, to see if everything works (head movements), Then start - before - DCS p.s. F9 F7 are defined in DCS, so get used to that (freezes etc.) Edited February 5, 2010 by majapahit | VR goggles | Autopilot panel | Headtracker | TM HOTAS | G920 HOTAS | MS FFB 2 | Throttle Quadrants | 8600K | GTX 1080 | 64GB RAM| Win 10 x64 | Voicerecognition | 50" UHD TV monitor | 40" 1080p TV monitor | 2x 24" 1080p side monitors | 24" 1080p touchscreen |

Sarge55 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 You shouldn't have to program track IR in Black Shark. In my set up it's not identified in the controls page at all and it works fine. It sounds like you haven't set up TrackIR correctly. Check to see if you've selected track clip or track clip pro depending on your head tracking device, profile is set for flight, no bright lights behind you, that sort of thing. The requirement to delete Trackir.ini is for LOMAC not BS. ScEBlack1 Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 thank you, works perfect now, and yes I had to manually set it up in the axis commansds section, much appreciated.
Sarge55 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Glad to see you have it working. MTFDarkEagle; Double checked, thought I might have had a "oh no" moment. Sorry, I should have said I have the TrackIR column but there are no assignments.
