Boberro Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 You set your Resolution and Aspect Ratio in your Eagle Dynamics/LockOn/Config/Config.CFG file Not graphics.cfg? :P Open graphics.cfg and then edit values (write your own values instead): } DisplayMode { resolution = {1680, 1050}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.6; Interface { resolution = {1680, 1050}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.6; } Simulation { resolution = {1680, 1050}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.6; } AVI { resolution = {640, 480}; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.3333; } } Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Nate--IRL-- Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Note that every time you return to the options menu in game it will reset the "aspect = 1.6;" in the graphics.cfg to non-widescreen (1.3 I think). You must re-edit graphics.cfg after entering the option menu. It is an annoying bug. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Fahhh Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Or as I read here on the forums, you could make a .bat file that fixes that for you, and launches the game. My file even cleans up the TrackIR ini files. You just start the game through that file instead of the usual shortcut. If someone is interested i may post it here.
159th_Viper Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 .....If someone is interested i may post it here. Please :) Attempted that myself a Good While Ago and did not end Well.......Would be Nifty to have a Working File. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Fahhh Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Please :) Attempted that myself a Good While Ago and did not end Well.......Would be Nifty to have a Working File. Here is the file i use. However due to the old utility(change.com) that this approach uses, there are some limitations... The operating system should not be 64-bit and the path to the game must not contain any spaces. If your game installation path does contain spaces, you can copy it to a simpler location like D:\Games\Lockon and it will still work. Installation, you just put the files from the archive in your root Lockon folder and make yourself a shortcut to launch.bat. When clicked, it changes the value in graphics.cfg to 1.6 (if your aspect ratio is different, just right click launch.bat select Edit and change the value). Then it clears TrackIR ini files and launches the game. Simple as that :) Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?w1jjkwtlofc p.s. I even made myself a file that does the same when HLobby is started... cause obviously, you' can't make HL start the game using launch.bat. However the same restrictions about OS and path apply. HL launcher: http://www.mediafire.com/?mzzywijtkna Put it in the root Hlobby folder, right click launch.bat and edit the path to your game. Edited February 18, 2010 by Fahhh 1
A.S Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 get the LoCFG tool ...there you enter manually your resolution and ration. ....remember, each time you hit "OK" in settings ingame, the game overwrites back to 4/3 ratio....(no support for widescreen) ..but with locfg (or manually in graphics.cfg) you can choose you desired values. coolts Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I learn a new thing every day, (slaps forehead). I've had the bloody thing in 4:3 FOV all this time!!!!! ggggaaaAAHHHHHHH!! Total Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Hmm, guess my game is different. I can hit OK in the ingame settings and it doesn't change my apsect ratio and I am running a weird one due to my tirplehead2go set up.
Robos Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 On my notebook's monitor (1440x900), the best settings of aspect are 1.5. 1.6 - RWR is looking like an egg :)
Milorg Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) I edited my graphics.cfg to aspect=1.6 and now my game freezes everytime I try to launch a flight. How come? I even made a backup of the original .cfg but even that dont work any more. EDIT: nevermind, installed FC2 and it seems it's solved. Edited April 6, 2010 by Milorg
LawnDart Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Thankfully FC2 supports WS so this issue is gone (should you get a copy).
