I think the real story is the APT angle. And last month all internet traffic somehow got re-routed through China for 8 minutes. That's a lot of goodies to sift through.

British Broadcasting Company (BBC) is government funded and controlled media organization. I have never lived in UK and can not comment on BBC-UK, but BBC international, in my view is ...

I am sure there was bits and pieces of the F-117 that could be analyzed. But I don't think that those pieces gave anything revolutionary to Russia and China. After all, the stealth technology (shape wise) originated in Russia.

There's a lot more to stealth than the shape. Material technology, radiation-absorbant coatings and so on are also very important to creating an effective LO aircraft.

Whether or not the Chinese and/or the russians (or the Koreans and Japanese) have used information gleaned from shot-down 117's... I don't think we'll ever know. It wouldn't be enough to give them a stealth program, I guess, but it certainly might help an existing stealth program - sort of "add the last pieces" type thing. But that's speculation on my part. However they did it, congrats to the chinese, 'cause that is a beaut' of a plane. :)

It did not. A certain study of EM waves did, but it was merely a seed that Russia was not interested in.

Didn't somebody find the relevant paper in a flea market or something?

Not really relevent though as life cycles, from conception to retirement, of fighters and bombers last decades. What was blueprint 20 years ago is cutting edge technology, fielded and operational, today. :smilewink:

I wonder what kind of secrets from the b-2 where sold by that engineer

maybe China want these technology for H-XX stealth bomber :) more and more evidence suggests this project really exist. Although I'm not proud of this kind of stuff, but the americans do the same thing all the time

I guess it`s too late to make such a drastic change from the standard to B-2 nozzles. Any info suggesting possible TVC?

Interesting that it was an Indian engineer working on the country's most sophisticated weapons. That's a sad testament to the state of American engineering though, we hire the smartest foreign minds instead of producing quality engineers through a better education system!

No idea - there's really no info :)

That's how we've always been. A melting pot. Albert Einstein, Werner Von Braun... etc.

That's because in India they actually get a head start in learning a career when they are very young. They would focus directly on...let's say engineering at an American high school level.

While here in the U.S. we honestly waste a lot of time learning a "broad" subject like bio, english, math, science, art, music...etc.

So who do you think the companies would hire....us "mediocre" knowledge college graduates who demand a higher salary or the smarter/experienced foreigner who thinks min wage is a "lot" of money.

That's the sad truth to the American education system...it's also the reason why it's very hard for me to find a job right now =(
