EDIT:

Well i checked it a couple of times now, it says "Total memory: 8192 M" So i guess it has all 8 GB ram installed and ready to use.

I also see them in the system configs.

4 sticks of 2gb's? or 2 sticks of 4gb's?if its the first, then its not memory...if its the latter it could be either a module in the wrong dimm slot or a high latency ram. high storage ram isnt as fast as lower capacity ram. to see if your memory is in the right slot, dimm slots 1 and 3 should be occupied.

any chance you can o/c? does your power supply have enough juice? you should have a minimum of 600w for that gpu and processor. is your pc custom made or name brand?

This pc is bought from a company called alternate. There, you can put your own pc virtually together. Their webiste tells you, if some components are compatible or not.

 

I bought the pc, which was 100 % compatible(otherwise, i couldnt have ordered it:thumbup:).

 

Anyway, everything works fine so far. But with the power, thats something, i will check.

make sure that the 12v rails and the pci-e connectors can supply at least 25a. dont remember what their called...and its not just a question of compatibility, its whether or not its built or upgraded properly. wrong cable to the card, not enough power to the board, a pin arcing somewhere via a short, misplaced hardware...all is easy to do even from professionals.

Also checked that. Enough power for all components.

 

Im not sure, if this is on all Mainboards but the "V_Phase_Ledґs" do all light on booting. I never noticed that before, most likely didnt pay attention to that. All leds do light, green, yellow and red. In the manual, it says

"The number of lighted LEDs indicates the CPU loading. The higher the CPU loading, the more the number of lighted LEDs."

leds light up on post as a sort of diagnostic. if it stays lit while your doing nothing in windows, its possible your comp has spyware/malware.

Well, they only light up for a couple of seconds on each boot up(right after i pressed the button to boot).

whats your average load % /memory use at idle?

Around 1 GB.

 

EDIT:

1 GB is the idle usage of all 8 GB.

So it would be 1/8 GB of usage per ram component, in idle time, i guess. : -/

If you have the possibility try the W7 X86. I have a similar system with yours. my graphic card is 8800 GT and i swapped from win xp 32 to win 7 86. I haven't noticed a drastic fps drop.

I think the the rise hitman experienced is due to this reason:

1. 2,6 GHz on win xp: this is for system, programs running in background and game.

2. 2,4 Ghz on each of the 4 cores with w7: you can be sure that the game will use a core of it's own so at about 2,4 GHz. because w7 is good at distributing the processes on all cores (sytem and programs will run on other cores).

 

Windows vista 64/ I'm on average at 60fps in Single player in Multiplayer its 35 to 40fps.my specs are in my sig...29inch I-INC HDMI iF281D monitor widscreen 16:10 aspectratio 1.6, 1900x1200 60hrz nvidia drivers 196.75

 

What drivers you using?

 

Also make sure your when running a program be it installing or running right click the icon click properties and make sure to unblock it will be bottom right side of that window.

It's also good to make sure you right click the porperties and advanced then check run as adminastrator.

Also make sure your virusscanning before you do this.

Im using the 196.21(because the 196.75 driver was retierd from the nvidia website).

 

I tried before to run LO as administrator but that didnt change anything.

When you down load a programe this program is not allowed to run properly until you unblock it..

 

Right click on prperties and see if its unblocked.

I've never needed to unblock anything related to drivers nor any kind of software.

 

I really think, everybody looses some perfomance with LO going from XP to Vista/7.
