Q about LOMAC installation for FC2.0

i have vista 64bit. after doinga search i see there are numerous issues posted for this title on the 64 bit architecture.

 

My Question is this:

Wags announced the FC2.0 product will update Lockon through to FC2.0. Do I simply install my old arse LOMAC CD and then the FC2.0 purchase? Or do I have to install LOMAC now on the vista64 machine and begin the process of navigating all the troubleshooting threads to get a working copy before i install FC2.0?

 

Please advise.

1 - Install LOMAC

2 - Install FC2

 

That should be it. I believe you will also be able to install FC2 on top of FC1.

 

FC2 uses the same generation TFCSE as DCS:BS does, so you should not expect any more issues that DCS:BS had with Vista64 - that is, none.

Not to hijack this thread, but I have a noob question:

 

I would like to fly FC2. I do not own Lomac. Will I be able to download Lomac and FC2 from the website, or do I need to secure a copy of Lomac from Amazon.com or some such venue?

There is no download version of Lomac, so you'll have to buy the disk in the website or other places.

hi - not to hijack a hijack, but I was wondering...

 

if I already have lock-on plus flaming cliffs installed, with a bunch of mods, what will my FC 2.0 install procedure be like? Do I need to have a "clean" install of flaming cliffs 1.12 for flaming cliffs 2.0 to install from?

 

Or would uninstalling all the mods via modman be enough?

 

I'm sure this will all be explained soon enough in a readme, I'm just curious...

I would think the best course of action is an uninstall and clean re-install to make sure everything is good. I know that is what I will do. Why take risk, just go through the extra work of installing from scratch.

One more hijack, I have just reinstalled LOMAC. I never had FC1. Do I need to buy it as well as FC2? or can I just get FC2 and have all the goodness that is?
