No. Fairness is irrelevant.

The best fighter on the red side is only SU-27SK and MiG-29S. I hope ED take the fairness of the game into account.

Gentlemen, I present the next DCS Combat Sim:-

At 1 minute 50 seconds you will see a "somersault" or one of the smallest loops I have ever seen!

I would love to fly this aircraft!

It would also "fit" in the geographical area, right alongside the Ka-50 and the A10c!

спасибо

Regards.

It wouldn't fit into anything, since it no longer exists.

Well, it "existed" long enough in the video to impress this old jock!

How many combat aircraft can execute those kind of manoeuvers? OK, granted, of limited use in combat, but the question reamins.:music_whistling:

Fine, then the SU35. Libya was expected to sign a contract for the purchase of 12 Su-35s by the end of 2010:megalol:

Yeah, I get impressed by fireworks too.

Let's see ... the F-22, the X-31 ... pretty much anything else that sports TVC.

You only mention one cause the other is a prototype, on the russian side is easy counting the one that are not able to do it like the Su-25 or the Mig-23 cause the even the new version of the Mig-21 has thrust vector

What's arguable, the fact that the 37 doesn't exist?

Arguable, 37's TVC was testbed for 35 program. Not to mention the airframe of the 37 was outdated in comparison to the later models of 35.

With the commitment of DCS programmers I think its safe to say that experimental or prototype aircraft won't be represented because they can't be. There's a 360 trust vectoring package for the F15 tested and ready to go, but its not used so we won't see it out of DCS. All the work theyve done to get the sims as real as possible wouldn't mean much if tthey started making stuff up.

Now the F15E is used by a few different countries, fully operational, and allows for complete versatility. (Shameless plug)

"It" - what 37 could do... but no longer can since it was a demonstrator, exists in 35.

You sir, are contradicting yourself. Modelling an F-15E would amount to the same fantasy as modelling the so called SU-37. Now, an F-15C... perhaps.

My first flight sim was U.S. Navy Fighters. I could NEVER get that game to run smoothly on my old PC. Once I upgraded, the game was old-hat, and I moved past it rather quickly (flight sims were all the rage back then).

I voted for F/A-18 as I have unfinished business... YUP!

If it flies in a flight sim, I've crashed it!

Quite simply buy whatever ED produces as this puts money into their coffers and enables them to produce good quality flight sims and keeps this genre alive !!!

The F/A 18 would be best as you have carrier ops, which will always be fun, plus the multiple capabilities of air to air and air to ground.

I guess the F22 and F35 would be too under wraps to be accurately modelled?

That's rude to say, fantasy. Can you explain your comparison between the -37 and -15E? The E model aircraft has been in service since the late eighties and early nineties has seen combat several times. Would you suggest that modeling a Super Hornet would be so much easier? They essentially fill the same role albiet with the exception of crew and payload capacity there isn't much difference is there?

What I was implying is that the information available for the E variant would be rather limited... so much so that "fantasy" would come into play. Same goes for the Super Hornet. Which is why I think the next DCS aircraft is indeed an F-18C.

Thanks for clearing that up Sov13T. I understand your point of view. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to obtain operational information about airforce jets for modeling. I have an insiders point of view, but id be willing to open doors that would otherwise be closed to the public. If DCS can model the avionic package from the A10 then the F15E is a realistic goal.

I've worked closely with F16 abd F 15Es for the USAF, thus my bias ,)
