Complaints about A-10A guns

We fired on alot of older M-60s after the Marines recieved the old M1s and what they didn't sink in the ocean for reef- we used as hard targets. I swear I remember the A-10s blazing on them- and I'm not saying tracers, but, their rounds were glowing. I specifically remember because all the hair on my entire body stood straight up like a hard-on and I got the chills -- saying to the pilot, " Now thats some Shock and Awe. "

 

These slugs leave the barrel at 3600 km/h, and barrel life is limited to some thousands of rounds (read some where) so theres some friction there for shore.

Inshort I dont disbelive pepole who have seen hot slugs.

When Tanks (M1-Series) fire a round wheather its a Heat or sabot round it glows til it splashes. So I know its possible for that beast of a cannon to do the same.

actually, the key to get rid of richochet is setting explosive to something other than 0 as far as I can tel....

PS you are

PPS but with out explosive positive value tracer_off value does make a difference (time to live)

what if we just want to add dust (and smoke if there is) or only reduce ricochet a little instead of eliminiate? i like the fires and smoke of 6.jpg

Hi mate ..as noname(no offence ment) above pointed out to have explosive effects eliminates the ricochet totaly, still working at it, as the A10 was one of the reason I added FC2 to current sim install (love that gun) Ill post whatever might be of interest.

I dont have FC1 but did refferance KA-50. Looked in LockOn but could find no "user settings" (shell_table.lua) could be hard coded.

Yeep know what ya mean my wife is extremely jealous of my Sauncha (PC). she calls her the other woman, my PC. lol I do not let her have her say when it comes to this machine or the other I built in secret. I'm not sure Nate, I guess I just need to reinstall LockOn to be sure. My cockpit and I just got moved down (kicked out) to the cold dark basement (wife's orders) due to my unruly behavior and yelling at my stupid AI wingman (I'm 40 years old). So now I have to locate my disk in this mess of wires, cables, extra PC parts and what the hell is that stuck to my keyboard. You know, they just don't understand how hard it is to be a sim pilot these days. I mean for god sakes man, my headphones are being held together with Ducktape and Popsickle sticks (no joke) and It's up to me to hold off the Russian tanks from over running the Air Base with an A10 from DCS that until recently was shooting bouncy rounds! Its a wonder I can even go on. Hell I'm lucky I didn't shoot my eye out with that thing, but I do and that's what makes me a professional and she should feel lucky to have that level of skill around the house. Havoc out.

So you recon it was a target drone not a SU25. The wingtips is what I noticed. Still a Mig19 or 17 burning.

 

I still have a spare Banshee if you want to upgrade. Cant part with my V2s yet & still using a V5

Look at the wingtip tank on the first one, the tail is the same
