topol-m Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 I could be wrong but I have the feeling AF and AA are not working in FC 2.0 when set in the GPU driver options  I`ve taken some shots and there is no difference at all with ot without AF/AA. Is there some other way to turn them on? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Bucic Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 There is no AA or AF settings in DCS/FC2 AFAIK so blame your GPU drivers. For example nVidia is known to notoriously release drivers with crippled AA/AF functionality. Sometimes few consequent releases. asparagin Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) I could be wrong but I have the feeling AF and AA are not working in FC 2.0 when set in the GPU driver options  I`ve taken some shots and there is no difference at all with ot without AF/AA. Is there some other way to turn them on? I know only of the trick where if it doesn't work for a given application, to set it in the general panel. I had this trouble at the beginnnig of BS, but after the patches no more. In FC 2.0 AA and AF work good for me (nvidia). Edit: Ah yes, I've seen you pics in the pic section and you have AA disabled. Try this with the general panel. topol-m Posted May 7, 2010 Author Posted May 7, 2010 ^^^ Those pics were done without AF and AA, the problem is that the driver options doesn`t seem to change the graphics quality in the game  Maybe I should try different settings - 2x, 4x, 8x... and see if there`s any difference. Using nvidia too. Do you think the fullscreen option might be causing problems or launching the game with Modman? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
asparagin Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 normally not, i'm launching the game without modman though. One more thing: you changed parameters in the nvidia panel for simulator.exe right? (not for the launcher). Distiler Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 You need to force AA and AF through drivers and if you create a profile for the game point to simulator.exe, not launcher.exe. 1 AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2

Oh man  I was using the general "override all applications" setting, without creating a specific profile. It seems that might fix the things. I`ll try it out and report :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
thaFunkster Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Seems to work totally fine with ATI Funk on YouTube!
Maulkin Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Works fine with my nVidia 295... just be sure to create the profile for "simulator.exe" 1 --Maulkin Windows 10 64-bit - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 3.7 GHz - 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM - EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 - Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard - Samsung EVO Pro 1 TB SSD - TrackIR 4 Pro - Thrustmaster Warthog - Saitek rudder pedals - Lilliput UM-80/C with TM Cougars

topol-m Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 Setting a profile for simulator.exe fixed the issue. Thanks everybody! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
