Ditto. Looks like crap. F4 never felt like i was flying like i get in lockon and IL2 series. The falcon 4 boys call it fly by wire, I call it crap. :)

I think I just heard Galen over at diesimfanboi get a hernia.

Many of us have flown in aircraft and some have flown in fast small aircraft. F4 doesn't feel like "flight" does. As far as the Viper pilot comment, Su pilots say LOMAC feels real. So who's "righter"?:D

Yes, but have 'many of us' flown an F-16?

I've flown light aircraft - gliders and single engined and a few flights in a helicopter.

LOMAC for sure feels closer to how flying the aircraft I have flown, but does a viper fly like that?

A truck doesn't drive like a motorbike - so how can a truck driver say if a motorbike simulation has it right?

Real viper pilots saying Falcon feels accurate to them is convincing to me that Falcon is simulating the Viper accurately, regardless of the opinions of those who've likely never gotten as far as sitting in one's cockpit.

Same if a Falcon fanboy came in here saying LOMAC's flight feeling is like you are driving a bus. I bet they've never flown an SU either.

What's with this Galen stuff?

Oh it's a besmirchment conspiracy!!!! (Thanks Carl :D - that's classic)

Seems that they don't think much of either the LOMAC or the Falcon communities over there.

Though wolverine, what makes you think Galen would get a hernia? His FW posts are pretty much slamming the way Falcon has been.

You've missed the nuances and irony of his comment. Don't read the quote literally.

S! Wolverine.

nuances and irony?

I guess having some people behaving like galen thurber calling someone else galen thurber is ironic :D

There's no nuances there. None at all. It's neither clever nor subtle. What it is is childish and shameful.

To borrow some words from Carl and yourself - boohoo and quit your crying. You have a problem with him send him a love letter or something. Whining about him here just lessens you and bores the rest of us to tears.

Now - can we have beers please?

Looking at some of the screen shots.......

LOMACs terrain does look much better. But I hear a lot of people say the terrain looks 'tiled'. I just dont see it. Maybe I am a bad judge of graphics?

I also find that, in a networked game, LOMAC offers much more immersion for me, and frankly the graphics are a HUGE part of this - again, for me. Some people are the other way around and they don't care for graphics at all (But I don't completely believe that, either) ... fighting is a modern jet fighter is about seeing stuff, not about pushing switches - the switches are there, yes, they're your tools, they need to be operated, they generate a demand on your mental faculties. But once your switches are set ... it's all about the Mk1 Eyeball and F4 is absolutely HORRIBLE (as is any old sim :P ) when it comes to that.

second and a third opinion as well ;)

I agree, I wanted to fly on my computer for years until I seen Lomac and that was it, the grafics were a big thing for me and I thought well now it looks acceptable. Little did I know I needed upgrades LOL :)

Least there is another jet sim out there though.

MAN!!! I couldn't agree more

Amen to that sentence ""The falcon 4 boys call it fly by wire, I call it crap."" . :icon_jook .""

I have tried F4..still have my CD...its just like an arcade plane with good avionics.

I might pick it up, I'll wait for a few reviews first. It will perhaps be good for the Falcon community as it may unite the various groups of players using one install version. If it's complex avionics you want then Falcon has it by the bucket load but I'm a low level mud moving fan and down low Falcon just does'nt compare to Lock On which is even more fun with the SU25T. I also have a better feeling of flight, inertia and weight flying planes in Lock On v1.1 than I do in Falcon, even with the mods it's like flying on rails.
