rattler Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Im guessing this is for FC1.2 and not FC2.0?? DO you have a FC2.0 one for us cause I think your work is amazing. This must be for FC2.0. I have never seen a cockpit like this in Fc 1.1 or Lockon.
TOMCATZ Posted May 27, 2010 Author Posted May 27, 2010 Hi, oh wait please: That cockpit pics are screen`s by "EF2000" - not Lock On FlamingCliffs. We spoke about that in some posts before and I thought it woul`d be a nice idea to show some pic`s about the old "486 graphic" out of 1992. I wish that some day we will be able to create cockpits for LockOn or DCS fighters. Best wishes, TOM 1 Born to fly but forced to work.

I don't have FC2 but I understand cockpit mods may be a bit easier than FC1. Still using FC1. Ask some of your mod friends and see if FC2 lets you do a little more than FC1. Worth a shot. Cheers Tom. Hopefully you will look at the F-22 again.
Vekkinho Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Tom, great Tiffy! I'm very glad you've decided to go for a hi-poly standards like this with it! However, your 158MB file is called Eurofighter-MiG29-F-16-Su-30-MOD_V1.2.zip so before I install it can you point out changes it makes over default FC2.0. Are there flies I should backup before I install it? Thanks! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Are there flies I should backup before I install it? Thanks! I just saw your post and I did have Toms zip open and I am sure he will answer himself but this will give you heads up. I think Tom has a read me file that you can look at before you install. Just unzip and you will see some files and the readme file is there that shows you what is installed. I just want the typhoon so I think I can take the files out and insert manually with a little fixing for FC1. I had a quick look . There are some files in structures but only a couple. The rest of the files are for the different A/C. Yes I think you may want to backup some files for sure.:)
Vekkinho Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Yes I just did what you advised (checking the readme first) and yes I'll just use Typhoon part of the mod with FC2 and later maybe with FC1.12. Now that I think of it I'm very absent from FC1.12 since FC2.0 release but Crimean landscape is making me nostalgic and is probably the only reason I still have FC1.12 install ready! Thanks! TOMCATZ Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) Well- It`s not a kind of question about if it is necessary or not. The basecally reason should be to have fun. I have to follow the bluprints. The VEAO mod is very cool but with some heavy mistakes. No critics- I really know how hard it is to work at a project like this one. It´s not my intention to make something better or what ever as like as other great modder teams or criticise anybody. I only have to folow my own feelings and having fun while building models. So it isn`t a question about if it is necessary or not. My very bes wishes, TOM Edited May 28, 2010 by TOMCATZ Born to fly but forced to work.

Yes we at VEAO do have some work ahead of us on the Eurofighter, we have and are working hard on this project and will continue until we are satisfied that we have done as much as possible to produce a realistic Eurofighter. Tom, you are the same, work very hard as well. I think every A/c has been modded at one time or another by different modders and that is, nor every will be a problem. I am a fan of yours as you know. I enjoy both and that is as it should be. I can say for a fact, that we at VEAO appreciate and admire your hard work and modding talents. You are a valued asset to this forum and flight sim. Cheers.:thumbup:

kingneptune117 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Thank you very much for your nice words. Thank you sir. Best wishes, TOM Hey tomcatz, Just curious if you ever completed your model of the F-15E strike eagle? FC2 would be kickass if we had a nice model of it. Awesome model and skins there Tom and I love seeing your work as always. I see you have the same problem we have in level flight in that the nose is too high. I'm still trawling through code to see if we can level her out a bit once taken off. And I'm still trying to figure out the missile rotation for the fuselage Aim-120's. The code for 1.12 and the meinit had them rotated but once in game, they were back to normal again. Have stil lyet to find that for FC2.0 I have models of all of the Typhoon weapons and am happy to send them over to you if you fancy touching them up? Of course in return I'd like to use them in our mod also. Let me know if this is possible. Thanks, Chris. VEAO Founder
