Is there a way to unlock the target that you just blew up besides hitting the back button that resets everything.

What is the best way of looking for targets? Is it through the shkval or through the hud.If its the shkval,do you control it your self or do you set it at auto turn on target,or is there another way that I don't know of.

To unlock targets, you can hold the lock button while slewing the Shkval off target. I usually just hold it down until I've got the box over the next target and then release.

There's no real trick to searching for targets. It's good practice to configure the Shkval to look at your target points when you get near the target area. On the AMMS, it helps to pay attention to the yellow line extending from your aircraft when you're slewing the Shkval around, especially if targets are marked on the map.

If shkval in narrow fov and you switch back to wide fov it will unlock. Call me paranoid but I fear burning out the laser by using the lock button to unlock.

Will this mess with the weapons arms switch and everything else the back button resets

He said the Shkval uncage button not the Weapon system reset button. As an aside, weapon arm is not changed by pressing weapon system reset.

The easiest or rather the most direct way is to hold down the lock button and slew off the target.

Holding down the lock button and slewing off target is the method I use.

Laser burn out.

Regarding Laser burn out.

Is it possible to burn out the laser just from leaving it in STAND-BY all the time? I think I'm not letting it cool down occasionally, but would like to know if leaving it in STAND-BY is bad to.

Thanks

edit : thanks Eddie below, can't give more rep to you, it won't let me, sorry.
