Sticky Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Mafia II, anyone tried it yet? Sofar I like it alot, even though this is not my favourite type of game. Its much better than GTAIV IMO. I like the combat much better than GTA IV and the atmosphere is much better also. Anyone else played it? Looks like a winner sofar to me. Story is good sofar, makes GTAIV look like something for kids. Im playing it on my pc but with a xbox 360 controller, works great. Had to turn physx off though even though I have a gtx470 because of the insane performance hit. If this is the best physx can do on a GTX470 then physx is truly worthless. Anyway you dont need physx to enjoy this, it looks great and has great physics even without it, I could hardly tell the difference, except it was suddenly playable again. Mustang Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Yes, this is a very nice game, been playing it on and off for the past few days :) It really does capture the feel of the 1940/50's USA very nicely, also has some awesome graphics and storyline.
winz Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I loved first mafia game, it has a great slowly unfolding story with many twists and great atmosphere. With beautiful graphics. It had free ride and an extremely challenging and funny free ride extreme. Now mafia II has like 9hours of gameplay. Story that starts up nice but is hastelly finnished, the scriptwriter (for both mafia I and II) left in the middle of the development, because developer reduced his script by a lot. Freeride unlockable only by 3rd party mode and virtualy no replayability, with already 2 DLC on its way. If you ask me, it's a huge letdown for the fans. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
