Hi folks,

 

I'm not from America, but a friend of mine is visiting soon, and I wanted to get my hands on a solid copy DVD for the KA50 game. Since he insisted on making my world harder by a MUST BE A STORE PICKUP thing, anybody knows stores around New York, where he can grab the DVD as a store pickup? I looked and only found Walmart but that is out of his reach, as well as dont show whether its in stock or not.

 

I also wanted your advice on where to get MFD display panel for Thrustmasters MFD COUGAR twin pack

 

as I plan to build a virtual cockpit. I understand that this is merely the outer frame and a display is needed in between the frame and the rear door.

 

Most urgent now for this thread is the NY store pickup locations for DCS Blackshark.

 

And for future purchases, care to throw in names of popular gaming stores in the big Apple ;)

Since you want the game so badly, why dont you purchase the Black Shark download from either direct2drive or steam?

I wasnt aggressive, the guy told a joke I responded. That dont mean I hate his guts.. Just I'm serious talk so joking could have its time later. not that I'm a hardass.. anyways I dont know if steam or d2d got support for offshore visa accounts.. maybe he can do it if he has an account there, but as optimistic as I am, I'm highly doubtful...

until a N.Y`er is able to help you, for now i guess its your best bet to mail or contact d2d and/or steam and hope they can clearify your questions before your time runs out

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here.

 

DCS:BS is protected with StarForce ProActive, the version without a driver. It has less access to your computer than the web browser you are using to read this post. (Not exhaggerating, that's a fact.)

 

That done with: all versions have StarForce ProActive. DVD version is exactly the same as the download, except that it is delivered on a DVD and has some extra bits to make sure you don't have to download them.

which is why, SIR, I'm so eager to get the media not the download form. Because I hear ppl having hassle with STEAM and D2D specially with patches.. So when I have the ROM, I can get the patches first and foremost. Hence my worries.. Sorry to all that I wasnt nice to.

You don't need Steam or D2D.

Regular installer, patches and everything is available right there, and you can re-download all you want, and it also does store your license key in case you were to lose it.

Also, purchasing from that place instead of Steam or D2D means the guys who made it get all your money. ;)

 

The DVD version is identical to the version you get through that adress.

again you miss the point Sir, In USA, if you have retail outlets / distributors with Store Pickup option for the title (Grab it from store directly with my car and pay at the cashier) I'd like to know them ASAP.

My friend leaves after tomorrow, and I just need a store like Gamestop, Best Buy, J&R, well, you get the picture, having DCS:BS in stock.

If you've checked all the locations for all of the above chains in NYC (I assume you're talking about NYC), and you need it by tomorrow, and none of them have BS in stock (hard to believe), you're S.O.L. :dunno: Maybe you could try Jersey. If you have a couple of days, you can order the DVD with next day delivery from Amazon.

Well tbh, you seem pretty demanding so Im not surprised you havent had much response. Second, there arent a lot of different software stores in the US. You already covered the main ones and its highly unlikely a mom and pop store will carry it. Third, limiting yourself to people that live in New York and hang out in this forum arent exactly big odds in your favor. Im sorry to say, but if you refuse to download the game and burn it to dvd, you may well be SOL. I myself dont live in New York but Im not familiar with any stores here that sell it either. I saw it once on Best Buy's shelf but they apparently dont carry it anymore.

You're scarring me now. I have D2D version and installed 1.0.2 update (from the ed site) without problems. Have anyone with D2D had any problems with installing updates?
