Just installed BS on new PC - can't find registration key?

Ok i'm sure people are going to think i'm someone trying to scam a free copy of BS, so i dunno how i can prove i'm not (i have the disc and the box, but can't find the key (was it on the case, or a booklet?)

 

I did register when i first got the game, and the game still works on the old operating system fine, but asks for the serial number on the new OS...

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Search the registry of the old OS, the serial number can be found under

 

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\Black Shark\License0

 

It's the string called "Number". Format for input should be XX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX, if this isn't done automatically by the dialog (can't remember).

But the Key is officially printed on the back of the booklet... Green label, black letters... that's why i always keep my books with the cases ;)

Unless you have a digital download.. in that case the key should be in your e-mail

i find it a good idea to store the serial in a text doc with the installation files

 

(digital downloads) and just call it readme.txt or just add the serial at the bottom if a readme file is allready there.. that way i deem it safe

If ordered from DCS website, the key is stored in your profile so you cant lose it.

hi folks, have new os and installed a10 beta on it but would like ot run BS too - bought BS online and e-mails lost when old pc blew up - have it on my latop but cant see any sign of registration - can someone tell me where i can find it - old laptop is Windows - dont want to buy product again but no reply from e mail to DCS for help - thanks Ian
