Hi Deadman,

sorry that I am hijacking your thread.

Were you able, by any chance, to source an ANTI-G and Arm Ground Safety panel?

I am curios what dimensions they may have.

My guess at the moment is, that according o the DCS Manual the Anti-G Panel is two single blanks, so is around 5.75 x 2.25 +- tolerance.

The Arm Ground Safety 5.75 x 3 +- tolerance.

Thanks for you help and cheers

Sven

So is there any interest in left, right counsels,

and center pedestal made from 14 gauge sheet

aluminum? The units are modified replicas the

Dzus rails have been removed and replaced with

custom made mounts. These mounts have made

increasing the width of each of the console bays slightly.

The aluminum back plates for all control panels

except the IFF panel will be offered.

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

You said you made contact with panel making companies. As I understood it, you were just selling the boxes (consoles) for the panels to be seated inside. Will you be offering panels as well?

Well sort of i don't want to sell the panels . To me itis a complete unit why would you purchase panels with out a console? In my case I was over seas working and had time. Now I have a company to cut the counsels and front pedestal.I don't expect people to have the time to wait I have all of the consol panels drawn out in solid works. It makes sense to me to find a professional company to make backlight panels for those that want a replica 1:1 copy of a cockpit.I do know how to make the panel but have no time or the desired to invest in the CNC or laser for engraving. So I sent out an email asking companies if they would work on the project personally I think Simpart de has the beast build panel( as far as construction) . I have not heard back from them yet. So we will see If I don't find a company I will still sell the aluminum structure in kit form.

Interesting. They want 55K for a complete setup and last time I really looked at it, it seemed to be filled with inaccuracies and misalignment's. I always thought you hated Simparts.de . I was hoping someone would get with you and your plans to provide a reasonable cost, complete replica of what Simparts.de is offering but for a hell of a lot less. I understand time, investment, labor and parts costs, and assuming 98-99% feel is "good enough" for the majority, a reasonably priced alternative to simparts should be ascertainable. Though I will admit this is pure conjecture and in no way an expectation. I'm looking forward to your pictures DM, keep up the good work.

Your thought sum it up fairly well but I think you have misunderstood me . I have clarified my statement, it was specifically about how they build their panels. The steps can be seen in one of their videos. I have voice my thoughts on the inaccurate designs in the past they have chosen not to correct may things it is their business. I am looking for a professional to produce the most accurate back lite panel at an affordable cost to the A-10 builders.

It looks like they only sell lasers and not laser engraving services. I am not interested as I have said before in doing this my self. I all ready work 55 hours a week.
