For all the people outside Germany:

 

Credit cards in Germany is not the way people prefer to pay without cash. There are other cards girocards (by the way safer than credit cards) common in Germany. That is way a lot of people don't need credit cards, it's not because they hold their money under the mattress.

 

^^ completely understood, however the rest of the world *does* use credit cards on a regular basis so if a company decides they will only accept credit cards its up to the German customers to make the adaptation, *not DCS* to conform to the needs of a very small minority.

 

I can feel your pain, I've been in similar situation where I had to go and get a postal Money Order or do a Money Wire instead of just using my credit card from home... it works both ways.

If he wants it that bad, he can transfer the money to me via Paypal and I'll buy it on my credit card, then give him the serial number.

 

This is how I do it with my team mates that have problems getting online paid downloads.

Same is paypal to internet payment, but apparently ED has had some bad experiences in the past with them. Anyway this has been discussed numerous times in the forums and apparently is not going to change.

@ Mathias: There is also the possibility that A-10c will be available at release through distributors like D2D. Don't know exactly..

Most of our trading is done by counter-trade - you know: " I have eggs - do you have milk?

 

Seriously- most people use electronic-cash in Germany.

Your bank account gets charged directly in real-time without a "man in the middle" like a credit-bank and extra fees . Much securer an more control than with a CC.

 

If it wasn't mentioned before:You can use WIRECARD

It is similar Pay-pal only as virtual Credit-card.

How often has Matt/ED stated that ED will never change to PayPal payment option anymore? (although respective expiriences happend 5 years ago, when PayPal was a "young child with children Deseas", but thats another Story...).

 

There are possibilities to pay without transfer or PayPal. I just googled for Debit Card and got 3 links minimum on the first page to get one. I dont understand that childish behaviour of you. If you dont likes a credit card...OK...thats not bad as long as other possibilities are pretty much existing. One of the features of debit cards is to pay like with a Credit Card just to grap the money right from the Bank account, so basically you wouldn´t have a credit card...just an option to pay like one...so wheres your Problem?

i dont want a credit card because DCS is the only company that dont accept other ways to pay!

and yes at least 2 of them offer credit cards but i still dont want one!

and why exactly should i, a 21st century people, visit physically my bank when i allredy have 3 possibility's to pay online?

German bank accounts comes with a debit card which get accepted everywhere in this country, while on the other hand many vendors here turn down credit cards due to payment fees. Of course, one can acquire rather pricey things with a cc, but you might be out of luck for everyday purchases, like a haircut or groceries. Add to this that Paypal has established as a common payment option for digital distributions. My VISA got issued 3 years ago and I deployed it for the very first time now. Almost forgot that I still own one.
