Try to attack a coloum of 8-10 tanks and a couple of Shilka's in a city area with the gun. Thats a lot of fun and they pop smoke when you use the gun! :D

Since your visual, it make sense. Now someone comented once that once he dropped bombs and the shilka moved out of the plane flight path, that would be so cool if true. where i in a mud mover detecting an incoming plane, i would surely stress the gas pedal (or whatever) and maneouver to try to stay out of his flight path.

I remember attacking two APCs that was moving on a road in a small town. When I attack with bombs I missed but when I went to attack along the road again I didnt see them! So I made a few passes along the road and still didnt see them. So I said to myself wtf! So I hit the F7 button lol I know im cheating but come to find out one was in the town by a house and the other was across the road laughing at me by a tree! I dont if thats a bug are what but dont fix it! I was getting stress out trying to find those targets lol!

Heh, in LOMAC I have been spotting what I think are "targets" (mostly mistaking other things for targets) and then turn on the easy radar for a sec and see if I am right. :megalol:

Otherwise, those tankers are dumb for popping smoke. It just makes it easier to find them again! Just have to aim at the smoke and don't use the PAC for greater round spread for hits.

I just learned that when strafing with guns or rockets i'm not supposed to overfly the target, which i always did. I guess that's because the target could explode while overflying it. How cool would it be when the tanks turret would fly into the air when it explodes. And that this turret could hit you. Either way would be funny to see a turret flying somewhere around you :)

you are also risking yourself for your own ricochets and you are an easier target when you fly over

It isn't a bug. The AI now tries to disperse and take cover when attacked.

The main reason you want to avoid overflying your target is that they are rarely alone and what's left might very well have significant AA capabilities.

If you're flying that low over the enemy, you're asking for trouble anyway ;)

Actually your own rounds will be happy to bounce right back up off the ground and bite you. Having been slowed down by the impact, there'll be a nice little cloud of them for you to fly through, so the possibility of self-frag is very real if you shoot the target and overfly it.
