Mark,

Perhaps we should come out of retirement and shows these guys who the best pilots REALLY are? :)

-Matt

Come on guys... who did most of your Flanker/Lock On training?

Ironhand and your's truely are THE BEST!!! ;)

Cheerios!

PS... Ironhand doesn't fly online but I wish I could fly with him sometime.

I think very reliable results of who is the best pilot can be found from http://www.lomacleague.com No thinking of who is the best, only results.

Doesnt mean anything. There are lots of guys here who dont play those matches.

I only nominated those who I play with not just those who have a record at lomacleague.

WAGS if you still play 1.02 your welcome to join us at any time! ;)

Ill have 1.1 just not exactly know when. The order may be on its way or not. My CD copy is to be ordered by a friend, who wich BTW I should contact to check on it. see ya later.

Heh once I get 1.1 Ill assemble some of my online friends and then we shall see how your squad "cannot be more proffesional"!icon10.gif

I'm always up for friendly a challenge. I hope the rest our Aces are too.

In a well fought match the best single pilot is inconsequential, it is the better team that wins.

Looking through the forums, I must hand it to Mr. Ice here that the 169th indeed is a fairly professional squad, allso the amount of 169th squadmembers in hyperlobby on a 24 hour bases is very positive indeed, not to mention the willingness of most of them to help out new online pilots who have questions in the lobby.

The more people we help out = better Lock On future. A lot of people have problems and don't play the game due to them, which is very sad. SO we try to show them the light at the end of the tunnel.

In the context of the original question, it really doesn't matter who the best pilots are. The advise you need can be had from any good pilot. The difference between the good pilots and the best pilots is dedication and many, many hours of stick time. Only you can give yourself that.

I know Rinke at least is very, very good at gunzo . . . . . flew with some of the RvE squad in Flanker 2 gunzo, and it was fantastic fun.

The 941st don't seem to have been nominated yet - and they certainly should have been.

I rarely see 941st flying anymore. Its been months since I flown with one. (And with you for that matter)

Our squad was waiting for FC 1.1 and - now that our CDs have arrived - we will

continue our training/flying.

mmhm, why don't those who believe they are the best (thinking of 169th etc) register on http://www.lomacleague.com and show what they are worth? Coz if you never play there your wins/losses aren't logged, your skills cannot be verified, and you can always find excuses.. like "not my day, normally i would wtfpwn u" etc.. And let me tell you, LL challenging/match system is the best I've seen in a while. So, if you have the balls, join lomacleague now and show how good you really are ;). Until then all you say is not official and is just trash talking^^.

As for who I think is the best, it must be my squadmate Packman. If we fly gunzo, we often turn equally fast and have to shoot each other in teh face. But he always evades my shots somehow while still hitting me. 4 out of the 5 times we collide though. m4dsk1llz for u right there 8).

Last time I played Packman it was 2-1 to me.

We are 1 a piece in ladder matches also.

As for Lomac league. Not our style. Dont like the rules.

You are allways welcome to play us in HL. However Warning! Your flights might be recorded for training purposes.

I remember having a pretty good session against you once in 1.02 Nomad. And you were not the victor. (I think you were having one of those bad days)

I will not respond to any more posts about this topic for fear of warnings from moderators. So if you want to argue please do so in private messages.

Two words:

"Exam Season" :(

However . . . . having spoken at great length to the gentlemen at BT, I have temporarily put the bombing campaign on hold, since it appears that I can finally get broadband at home . . . . . if I'm not in too much trouble or too busy flying this summer, should be able to get some MP in at home :)

Yeah, thats exactly what I mean Ice. A lot of talking from you, but when it comes to actually showing your skills, then it is "not our style". Well, its not my job to convince you otherwise. But remember that clever people will never consider you worth much until you prove it ;).

And no, I dont remember losing vs you.

So officially, the best pilots who have proven themselves are us and JaBoG32 (particularily saint, woody, pjotr etc)

P.S.

imagine a football played running around the streats, screaming "eey im the best, im the best!!". Someone tells him: "hey, why dont u go play in a team then? on a world championship etc?". the dude: "naaa.. dont like the rulez. but im still the best.. eey im the best!!" ;)

Everyone can be king in their own sandbox, especially when you restrict who can play in it with you.

This thread is silly, and was doomed from the get go.

Some people don't need a league to let them know they are good. And others do it just to blow their own horn. So how is lomacleague doing anyway?
