Ironhand Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 If a few of you with V1.1 installed would be so kind...download these two tracks with voiceover, unzip them wherever you want, and see if they play back with voice. Don't get excited. These are the same Su-25T Orientation and A-10 vs Shilka tutorials. But these don't require LoMan for installation: Su-25T Orientation and A-10 Cannon vs Shilka. Kula66 Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 Worked fine ... except I'm sure the Open mission/track dialogue is buggy ... despite selecting tracks the files didn't show everytime, but after coming out, then back they eventually appeared and the track played fine! Why when I played the track the 23-4 seemed to fire at beyond .9 miles?
Dutch60 Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 Worked just fine for me! I think that sins Lock On FC is not officially supported by LoMan anymore this is a better way to distribute your wonderful Training Tracks. Guest ruggbutt Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 I've found that if you've messed w/your snapviews, that the training tracks will not play back correctly. I have a stock config file that I swap in when I go back to watch the training tracks.
Ironhand Posted May 30, 2005 Author Posted May 30, 2005 Thanks guys. Turns out that Flaming Cliff directly supports OGG files. So there's no need to convert the WAV files to OGG and back to WAV (the reason I used LoMan) as part of the distribution process. I'd known that the program could read OGG files for tracks started from the "Training" menu but they didn't work for me elsewhere. I found out recently that they are supposed to work everywhere and it's just me--more or less--having problems. Again, thanks. Kula66, Did you have problems with both tracks or just Su-25T Orientation. The Su-25T track is sufficiently large that it takes time for the map to load. Kula66 Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Just tried the A-10 ... I think I've got the Su-25 one installed via Loman ...
Paux Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Track of su25t goes well. I am going to lower the one of the A10 to see that such Thanks
Ironhand Posted May 30, 2005 Author Posted May 30, 2005 Just tried the A-10 ... I think I've got the Su-25 one installed via Loman ... Okay. Are you opening it in the ME or using the SHOW button on the Main Menu? A 2nd question: is this a problem only after you first install? Or does the problem persist? Just trying to figure out what is going on. I've never had a problem with anything that I installed manually not showing up. Kula66 Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 q1: ME ... q2: If I press 'open' (with default file type left ass mission) then navigate to the directory where the track is installed, I can see the entries for the sub directories and the parent. If I then select 'Track' all this disappears but no track files appear! If I select drive D: then C: and navigate from the root (now with file type track selected) the track is there! I think its a problem with LOs file handling dialogs ... not your tracks.
Ironhand Posted May 30, 2005 Author Posted May 30, 2005 BINGO!! Kula66, The missions and tracks that came with Lock On are stored in different folders. So the default setting for where you start looking in those folders varies depending on mission type. When you search with the "type" set to track, you start in the 'Tracks' folder (if 'type' is set to missions, then the 'Missions' folder. If you installed my tutorials using LoMan, select the mission type as "track". You will start in the 'Tracks' folder. Back up until you see (among other folders) Su-25T Missions, Su-27 Missions, Tracks, and Training. I've instructed LoMan to install my tutorials in the 'Training' folder. Open it and you should see several folders including: 'Ironhand', 'training0201', 'training0202', etc. Open the 'Ironhand' folder and navigate to the tutorial you want to view. I break out in a cold sweat far more frequently than I used to. :) Rich YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
