habu42 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Being new to the A-10c community, I need all the assistance I can get. Just downloaded A-10c from web site. Down loaded manual, all 600+ pages, however, the only quick start guide I could find on web site is in Russian. Does anyone know where I can find a Quick Start Guide in English?? Thanks for your assistance.
Yellonet Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 If you're going to fly in simulation mode there's no real quick start... you just need to read up on the start up and so on... or watch some vids on youtube. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
habu42 Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 Thanks, however, I would like to be able to setup joystick/keyboard and Blow up some Targets/fully enjoy game.
ACUTech Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Well, I'm afraid you'll need a little more work than a simple trigger pull to destroy some stuff... This is not Ace Combat, this is a study sim, meaning you'll need to learn all the necessary procedures you would do in real life to be able to release your weapons and destroy targets... MTFDarkEagle Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Yea it is. It sounds very daunting at first, but stick with it, and you wont believe the reward you will be rewarded with :) Don't get scared if you ask a question, and several people answer "RT(F)M!", because it's true. Some things might not be correct, but that will be noted when necessary. I hope you will enjoy this great sim, and welcome to this awsome community! :D  **Oh, and the above obviously ;) Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread

Frederf Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 It's not all that bad. Before too long you'll be rolling your eyes. Gotta start the thing again. Flipping switches in a braindead flow, drinking juice and wishing the gosh darn INU would align faster. 1
MTFDarkEagle Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 ...and wishing the gosh darn INU would align faster. I get that thought all the damn time ;) Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
hassata Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 (edited) Seriously. They can magic an F-22 out of thin air, but can't find a faster way for an EGI to align? Can't they have pilots at least park in the same spot and have it save data for example? Fast alignment must be of enough value to put some time and research into it. Oh, and please don't mistake me for a tech guy. Edited December 10, 2010 by hassata [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
habu42 Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010  Kinda of topic but still dealing wit game play. I can not load Game. I am running Win 7 Pro, 64 bit Intel Quad 4, 2.66, EVGA GTX 470. It will load ground scenes, then just jams up. Is there a work-around?
hassata Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 That's gotta be some sort of record most OTP or something lol. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
