mavyalex Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Hello, I wonder: what kind of physical training do jet fighter pilots praxtice in their lifes usually? I mean, do they always have to stay fit and go to the fitness club or just build endurance (running, swimming)? And how to avoid muscle tensions when having to stay in a cockpit for hours? "Always check your 6 o'clock if you want to live!"
mvsgas Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) AFAIK, the USAF does not have a special PT program for pilots, they just got to meet AF standards. Prepare for the FACT and the USAF PFT http://www.baseops.net/militarypilot/physicalfitness.html Air Force Physical Fitness Test Standards http://www.airforce-pt.com/ Edited December 15, 2010 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

SuperKungFu Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 lol I know some pilots run 3 miles everyday. But there are others that said if you eat a lot of red meat and drink beer you can endure more G-force....which one sounds more fun? lol [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
