Greb Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 If you haven't been back since then you'll see a lot of changes. Keep up the good work. Will do Sarge! Baron I am just finishing a rework to that CAS. I added sounds to the JTAC call ins instead of those terible pop up messages. I added sound to all the ground communication. As well as machine gun fire and explosions. So when you he calls you up you hear gun fire and what not. Sounds like he is really in a combat zone. It sounds AWESOME! I got one more thing to do to make it just right but I will have it up tonight. The CAS mission might get long in the tooth, but I am trying to see how far I can go with the ME. This one I am posting tonight will put you in an adrenalin sweat!

Hekktor Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Can we have green or red but no wp smoke? I am getting spasms when trying not to forget the loc of the somke plume and NOT to confuse it with some of the 'schornsteine' (what you call it? - äh smokestacks?) all around that town. Scratch all above if you just wanted that effekt for better immersion.. ;) love the mission coz it gives a feel how difficult it might be to 'peel' infanty out a city... tnx, hek

I hate WP in a big industrial town! When he says Contact the mark it looks like there are 40 targets on the ground, will keep it in mind for the next one. Still getting it all down, and have been meaning to change that, just been kind of low on the list. Will do though! Edited January 11, 2011 by Greb

Greb Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) OK Fellas ....Here ya go! Man what a mechanical mouse trap this one turned out to be, but it came out great. I wanted to get Audio in. I mean if a ground unit is in combat and he is calling in for support you should hear some combat over the mic as he is talking to you. It just made the JTAC's so sterile. It took some thought but I finally worked it out. I also wanted there to be some time between JTAC unit call ins, and I wanted them to call out to me, and at the same time get rid of that god awful message box. I took some of the audio from the sim and spliced it together to make up ground dialogue. LISTEN for your callsign not all radio chatter is aimed at you. I wanted to have ground forces simulate talking to each other, with you being the fly on the wall...or in the air so to speak. I also added and changed some of the targets and cleaned up some unit triggers and what not to cut out some loading stutters issue. It worked like a charm. I also apologize for the reuse of this mission. I have many ideas and I want to start building them but I needed to really get my immersion skills down. It was just easier to use a already breathing monster then to go digging up the graveyard looking for another body. I learned a lot on this one and it took HOURS to finish, but it was well worth it. Have at it and read the brief. Issues just post'em or PM me. SEE initial thread for Mission File! Edited January 11, 2011 by Greb Public Education
darrenl Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Flew the SP Hawq Hunt a couple days ago...really well done. One question thought: how do I know that the mission is completed. I reduced most forces to a pile of smoking wreckage and stayed on station of a couple of orbits. Didn't see any more vehicles and just decided to RTB. I should add mission end message. Just learned that one the other day!
Greb Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 New Mission. I was working on setting up ground units at the airfield and turned it into a mission. Bomb two buildings manual input on coordinates and two JTAC assignments. Inter city streets with tight target areas. Added a lots of activity at airfield. Lots of movement. See initial thread for file. Have fun!
dane48 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I can't wait to give this a try. Always look for updates to your missions, Grebs. You are keeping us on our toes. I know you've had requests for certain scenarious. The one where one would have to take out some hangars, runways and etc that has been suggested, would be a great one. Also keep in mind if we were to find a train that was moving. It was mentioned weeks ago in another thread (can't remember) and Ii think the discussin was that a moving train could not be found. I've seen trains parked with military equipment loaded, but is it perhaps because we have our "traffic" turned to low? Has anyone found a moving train? Thanks again "To most people, the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home."-----anonymous
Greb Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 Should have another one out today Dane. I am thinking a Hawg Hunt sequel involving another airstrip!
Greb Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 I love the idea of having to destroy aircraft at an enemy base or rendering runway/taxiways unusable... how's that for an idea? Well your wish is my command Cezar! Working on a Airstrip Hit today. Just finished all the Airfield activity and it's really good. You and your wingman will be deployed with a couple of Georgian SU25's and then hit the airfield. The SU's that fly with you will be protecting retreating Georgian forces from the city around the Airfield and your flight will take out the runway....and anything else you can release weapons one. Gonna have some surprises too, but nothing to radical. I hate those 10 percent survival missions. Should have it up tonight or tomorrow morning!
Cezar11 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Sounds awesome! can't wait.... can you make a MP version also? or is that hard? ( not knowing the ME yet..) maybe one flight takes out the r/w and the other covers retreating... but anything you do I'm sure will be totally cool ! Home built i5 quadcore. dual ATI 4850 in xfire mode. 16GB ram Warthog HOTAS, Thrustmaster Rudder, TrackIR 5, TM MFD's, windows 7 64 ultimate.. 40" primary screen, 19" secondary [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Greb Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 New Mission! Strike on Russian Airfield. I have it loaded with JDAMS. Find it easier to hit runway with mark points in one pass. You may want to change the load out to your liking. Lots of good Airfield Activity in this one. File is in initial thread! Read the brief and Have Fun!
skypirate Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Just tried the Airfield Mission! First thank you for your efforts! Great Fun indeed with some remarks: even though the runway was hit along the centerline on at least four critical spots I wasn't convinced by the tiny craters from the GBU38 that the runway is unusable. Neither was the game actually.. Could not get a message that the airfield is disabled (maybe GBU31 will do better). perhaps it is going to be more realistic if there is a CAP flight to support the attack, and the MiG-29 and Su-27s are not just static but real threat. for this particular area (Adler) maybe attack from the mountains is going to be more surprising against those 2S6.. Apart from that the airport animations are really good with all the traffic around. And this is how the flight has ended (made me very proud of myself)... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Regards!

First one I did. I was thinking about throwing in some F15's but was afraid it would get to frame rate hungry. I will try it again this week! Still learning the editor and I need to get that mission accomplished message trigger to work. Thanks again!
dane48 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Great mission. Just finished it also and what I found amazing, after I put 3 bombs into the runway and there was no danger of landing; I landed and went over each crater purposefully. You could actually feel the tire hitting the hole and the jolt or bump while in the aircraft. "To most people, the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home."-----anonymous
Greb Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Here's another one for ya! Wanted to start working on setting up battles on the ground. There is a bug with some units...the ZSU I've noticed the most, when they are destroyed they crash the sim if they are started off road. I put all the vehicles on the road and it runs great. I felt like doing anothor Rock Tossing mission. This is a sequel to Hawg Hunt. Set in Winter. Some Great Airfield Activity as well as incoming and outgoing when outbound and again inbound. Have Fun and Good Luck! See Initial Thread for File!
dane48 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Just tried the new SP Hawg Hunt 2 that you provided. Especially like the new camo version. One slight problem maybe? My wingman never joined. I saw him on the ramp and first look at him he had begun to taxi, but an F-16 was in his way and they were both stopped. I would ask for him to rejoin and he would answer with an affirmative but never moved. Subsequent checks saw that now another A-10 was stopped behind the F-16 in the traffic jam. I will be trying it again in a few hours and maybe it was a one time occurrence. Will let you know if it clears. Without the wingman I still had a great time, though expended all my ordinance and still had a pile of targets left. Great stuff. "To most people, the sky is the limit. They turn on runway and come back around. Dane let the F16 land and hit his spot or let him stay in front of you and follow him to his parking space. You must get started up quick. LOL!!! I thought I had it timed out pretty well!
