KorVet Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I Have tried to start using my TrackIR 5 and mouse and found it to be awkward. For me the problem is with the left and right console's rearward controls. They are sharply tilted and blurry even if I move in closer. It appears that with an iPad one can get a good vertical view of the panels. On the other hand, it may be that I am not doing something correctly. Ghost_unit13 Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 I love the cold startup with my Ipad. For me it's faster this way and somehow feels more like really switching the switches. I alway had some trouble getting the mouse on the button smoothly.. I still check most in cockpit buttons using my TrackIr. But this is not alway necessary because of the feedback Click sound you get from the sim. www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:

I find it only difficult in case of the MFD's that I have to look on the Ipad, press the right button, then look up to the monitor, see the result, then look again down to the Ipad for the next button. Cool, I could use it for the UFC CLR button.

A bit like the TM mfd's. I hope to get a working mfd display one way or the other. We can display buttons as webpages and it should be possible to get screenshots from a static mfd say on the right lower corner of a monitor. Together with a local light webserver it is possible this way. Have seen it working with a custom made ipad app. I just need someone who can make me a screen graber. www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:

Just import the ipad pit version and check the buttons macro's. The pushh release action uses 3 buttons. One push macro button, one release macro button and one macro button that combines the two and is the one you see on the display. www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:

Ghost_unit13 Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Well, as fare as I know not with Touch IR. It would need a Helios for Ipad app for that. Touch IR can animate switches and show fast refreshing Http pages. With that we have to do it. www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:
bigdawg Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Thanks for the hard work Ghost. ? for u, i donwloaded and installed the server and ur zip. imported the file in to the server program and the keyboard into A-10. Touch ir is using 5.2.6.. they only keys that seem to work are changing displays on the MFDs, nothing else will click.. Thanks again
Prophet Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I have the TM MFD's, but this would be great to watch other things like the CDU and radio stuff.
Thermal Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Touch ir is using 5.2.6.. they only keys that seem to work are changing displays on the MFDs, nothing else will click.. Have you bought the in-app purchase for autohotkey? Thats required, on your iPad/iPhone to enable keypressed to be generated on the server (i.e. your gaming PC). The other thing I found invaluable was running TARGET for my TM Cougar and using the "Event Tester" to show the keypresses being generated by the TouchIR server/autohotkey combination. I had syntax errors initially with autohotkey when I rolled my own UFC for my iPad.
Ghost_unit013 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Yes, Check if you got the Autohotkey app and I use the CH software's "Event tester/key press tester" to see what keys are working and what not. Check the command menu in A10, are the keys loaded correctly? Also do an extra "refresh" in TouchIR on your Ipad to get all settings loaded in you Ipadpit. BTW: We are still working to get the MFD/cdu display feedback ready for release. hope to get it ready very soon..
Zenra Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 BTW: We are still working to get the MFD/cdu display feedback ready for release. hope to get it ready very soon.. Really looking forward to this, Ghost - great work here! Zenra Intel i7 930 2.8GHz; ATI HD5850 1GB; 1TB Serial ATA-II; 12GB DDR3-1333; 24 x DL DVD+/-RW Drive; 800W PSU; Win7-64; TM Warthog HOTAS
bigdawg Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I have CH products also, all the command show up when using the key tester, but dont work once in the sim, only function that works is swirching MFD displays...
Ghost_unit13 Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) Looks like the key command file is not loaded correctly. You did load it because you got the mfd buttons...didn't you? Check if you can configer a command bij cleaning it and adding it not by pressing you keyboard but using the IPadpit button.. take a button you checked that worked in the ch key tester, should be something like Lctrl+Rctrl+L or what ever combination. And what kind of a keyboard do you use. I can only support a default US international. Edited March 30, 2011 by Ghost_unit13 www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:
alboy23 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Hi All, Im having a problem loading the ipadpit v1.2 profile. I have just downloaded the 'ipadpit v1.2' dcs a10 profile from the ipadpit website and followed the instructions. I have set up the Touch IR app on the ipad and Touch IR server correctly and all is working ok. When i try to open the ipadpit v1.2 file in Touch IR via the Tools/Import Configuration.. (as in the instructions) i get an error which is ZipEntry::ReadHeader() Bad Signature (0x00088B1F) at position 0x0000000 Im assuming that this probably just means that the file is corrupt/damaged. Ive tried downloading it a number of times to a number of locations to make sure that the file was downloading correctly etc but still no joy? Has anybody else experienced this problem or have any idea why it is happening or have a solution? Maybe if anyone has a the working file they could attach it in email to me so i can test to see if the problem is only happening with me, or its a possible problem with the download itself? Many Thanks Alex
Ghost_unit13 Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 what file do you try to import. The download zip or the export zip insite this zip file.. next to the doc map and lua file there should be a file named: TouchIRServer_export_full_v1_2.zip that's the one you need to import. (don't unzip it) www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:
Ghost_unit13 Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 Bigdawg, Got it working yet? www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:
