ive heard of a "quick-engine-start" thing, it might be in the manual, try looking in there

othervise, just choose "runway" as your starting point, then the aircraft is ready to lift off

To start with I would learn how to start the Hawg for three reasons:

1) Its not that hard

2) You will learn were things are, so you can fly the Hawg better.

3) If you find yourself (in real life) at an Airshow with a parked A10 and terroist attack. You will could save the day!!

Reason number 3 is the best reason of all. It is also the source of many night time dreams of mine :)

For a multiplayer mission, you can also set the aircraft up as client, and takeoff from runway. You'll be sitting on the ramp with your systems on and engines running (well, minus Countermeasures and Arm modes.)

I agree after a few times practicing it, it doesn't take long at all.

If you don't like taking the time to look at a printed startup checklist, I created a virtual co-pilot, so to speak, to read them to me with an app called VAC. You can get my profile for VAC and more information HERE.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
