Following instructions on manual pp 447-450, I successfully enter new lat/lon into the CDU, they appear in the CDU under waypoints, but do not appear in the TAD and I cannot select them as steerpoints.

What am I doing wrong please?

Thanx!

Just on top of my head - perhaps you need to include the new WP in a flight plan. What I do - second flight plan which holds all new waypoints of interest. Depending of my needs I switch between the new and old one. You can also add the new WP to the old FP. Then it should appear on the TAD.

You have to switch the Steer PT Dial to MISSION.:book:

It's because the WP you created is not part of your active Flight plan. (FLT PLAN)

Had figured this out by trial and error + rtfm...:smartass:

*sorry for the hijack*

Does anyone know how to drop a mark point with the TAD cursor?

Is there a hotas command? Or do I have to get the coordinates and input manually?

Same way as in all the other SOIs = TMS Right (short)

:book:page 84 ff

...and at the DCS User Download stuff is a brilliant colored chart:

This one printed and laminated to A5 is the beginners best friend with HOTAS
