Gonzo01 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) I recorded this track of me flying in the tracking pattern. Everthing looks fine except the track never showed the ordance being jettisoned, and it shows the aircraft going off into the grass when I actually taxi into the ramp. What gives??? :noexpression:Takeoff and Landing Track 3C.trk Edited February 14, 2011 by Gonzo01
Nate--IRL-- Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 The longer the track the more likely it is to playback incorrectly, unfortunately. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
GKOver Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 I am also facing very often the problem that the track is totally different at a special point of time. E.g. it is switching to the back but not back again to the cockpit. Or the plane is just crashing into the ground. Does anybody know a solution for this?
Eamoe Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 I have the same question. I've had tracks go haywire when accelerating time during playback. Is this normal?
Yurgon Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 I have the same question. I've had tracks go haywire when accelerating time during playback. Is this normal? It is, unfortunately. A track is actually a recording of every input that happened during your mission. A playback is actually a new flight which takes its inputs from the recording rather than from your HOTAS, keyboard etcetera. As you can imagine, if the track failed to record a certain event or if the playback skips an event (like a weapon launch), everything from that point onward may go out of sync. The same is true when steering inputs are even just a bit off - you may have flown straight and steady, passing a mountain top by several hundred feet while the recording shows you fly into it at 5 degree descent. Fast forwarding during track playback amplifies all the problems of regular playback, so you shouldn't do it. OTOH, I've had one hour tracks with lots of fast forwarding play back exactly as I remembered them, so basically the answer is: Your mileage may vary.
