dandebo Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hi, i just received my x52 system. but am having major problems getting it all to work. the throttle will not work with the engines and most of the buttons are not mapped. i have tried a few profiles from people like strongharm. but it sill doesn't seem to map any of the buttons correctly. any help ?????? :joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick:
razorseal Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 you mapped them from the game right? not the Saitek software...
DayGlow Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 ED games seem to map the throttle to the slider for some reason. You have to go into the setup screen in DCS. And choose axis from the drop down menu. From there you can map the throttle axis to the throttle instead ofbthe slider. BKLronin Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Also keep in mind that you have to activate the profiles before you fly at the Saitek Profiler Icon in your taskbar( where all the systemnotifications are) It should turn green once a profile is activated. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
barra733 Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Try pluging into a different USB port. My X52 throttle doesn't work in the 'front' ports or if using a USB extender or hub. Check that the interlinking cable is fitted correctly. I bent the metal plug surround slightly to ensure a firm fit. This cable and its plugs are a weak point of the system. Check that your drivers are up to date. Wipe the old ones completely from your system. I don't use the Saitek profiler as I found it was causing crashes. To get more options and fuctionality open the Windows joystick properties tab and check everything's working ok. Keep it open and open the game. In the joystick profiler you'll now find you can use a few more of the buttons the game profiler didn't recognise before. A problem with this is that I lose the functionality of the mini-stick.
Bodo Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Whatever USB port you plug it in, are you getting device functionality within the control panel options within Windows? Win 7= Control Panel>Devices and Printers or with XP I seem to remember it's Game Controller. If you are getting throttle and Axis movements there then it is definitely in game settings., Follow the advice that tells you to set up your axis in the sim's options.
