Scarface Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I'm gonna start a new, serious business logbook now. Had too many beta related deaths.
Mirtma Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 Highly advisable to attend to a clean install of the release version. I know that, but is there some file to copy logbook to new install? Toxe Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I just deleted my Beta install but the old logbook was saved somewhere in the MissionEditor directory. Something like MissionEditor/scripts/Logbook or something like that, and it's called logbook.lua. As this is only a simple text file you can open it with a simple text editor, take a look at your pilot's stats and copy some of them by hand to your new pilot logbook. Edit: Oh and make sure to make a backup copy of your new logbook, just in case. :)
RedX Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Oh, and only use the copy&paste procedure. Thermal Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Feature Request? A persistent total of all the hours and stuff blown up in the sim? I'd like to know how many hours total I've done.
Para_Bellum Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 When I uninstalled the beta I made a backup of my old logbook. But with the release version there's no logbook file in that directory anymore, even though I created a new pilot. So, my question is: where is the logbook saved in the release version? :dunno:

S77th-konkussion Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Does it track online hours & stats? [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
S77th-konkussion Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) heh.. nevermind.. It apparently doesn't track anything.. Edited February 22, 2011 by S77th-konkussion [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
majapahit Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) it's in BETA 4 Players.lua as in "..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C Beta\MissionEditor\data\scripts\Logbook\Players.lua" in Final logbook.lua as in "..\Users\<<>>>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\MissionEditor\logbook.lua" could copy/rename there is campaign progress in there also so perhaps editing is wise, it's pretty obvious your results may vary but mine, modest 8 medals :pilotfly:, went fine Edited February 24, 2011 by majapahit | VR goggles | Autopilot panel | Headtracker | TM HOTAS | G920 HOTAS | MS FFB 2 | Throttle Quadrants | 8600K | GTX 1080 | 64GB RAM| Win 10 x64 | Voicerecognition | 50" UHD TV monitor | 40" 1080p TV monitor | 2x 24" 1080p side monitors | 24" 1080p touchscreen |
S77th-konkussion Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 God.. I really hope that y'all are able to incorporate online flight stats in the logbook. A damn shame if there's some technical roadblock to this.. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]

Whambam Jiggyjam Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) How does the logbook track stuff, anyway? It only seems to register my kills at random intervals. I just did two campaign missions, got 12 A-G kills and none of them registered in my book but it registered the time flown and two landings. And while I'm at it, how does it calculate score? It seems like most of the time, I'll get zero score regardless of how many things I kill. I also noticed that I score more after spectacularly screwing up than from successful missions. Two of my promotions in beta 4 came after horrific crashes. Posthumous, perhaps? :D Edited February 25, 2011 by Whambam Jiggyjam
