Would you happen to know anything about the hdr.fx file located in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Bazar\shaders\PostMotionEffect\HDR?

I'm an absolute idiot, I was placing the hdr.fx file inside the effects side of things, no wonder it didn't work. The path is the same only its Effects/HDR not Sharders/HDR.

Working like a dream, thanks. It doesn't seem to work in the first Devil's Cross campaign mission but I think that's down to the mission itself.

You can restore the previous HDR effects with the HDR.fx attached. Place it in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Bazar\shaders\PostMotionEffect\HDR

Nate

Feels like it doesnt work any more with the last patch. Is there any way to restore bloom effect?

Go to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Bazar\shaders\fxo and rename

72d3a1dc29433e5d2c32fa33bbbe045e.fxo to something like

72d3a1dc29433e5d2c32fa33bbbe045e.fxo2

Nate

Thanks Nate, was just popping in to point out that it was no longer working.

Hey gents, I took the liberty of making this a Modman installable, and uninstallable package 'mostly for my own convenience'. Some times I feel like seeing some blur sometimes I don't, thats where this can be useful http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QMGTMGKD

So i went ahead and installed the Blurr mod galagamo made above (thank you galagamo, you rock for making this very easy for me) but only after I found this thread to search for HDR issues. Funny story actually, been playing instant action and mission editor missions since the beta of A-10C, never once tried the Campaign missions. So since the release of A-10C Ive haven't played a single campaign until tonight and to my surprise HDR has not been working this entire time since release, me thinking you guys just turned it down for the release. It wasnt until I started up Devils Cross that I noticed a huge difference. So i went back to my missions and then back to devils cross then back to my missions scratching my head wondering why HDR only turns on during the this campaign. Attached some screen shots to show the difference and Im just wondering if this might not be a bug. I swear on my life HDR was turned on the entire time....

P.S. Pictures were taken pre-mod install....while I was scratching my head.

i have noticed this too when the weather is overcast. If i move the camera (in external view) i see the blur effect going on/off, but the problem is that this change at very low distance over the ground and far from cloud like i think its suposed to work.

Other problem is that there are nof a fade efect, its on /off blur, so tis hard and you have the sense that there are not HDR working.

I would like to edit these effects too, but the most important things are under the hdr.fx and there are lot of code to change and i cant understand. The easy parameters are in the hdr.lua.

I have noticed too that the HDR.lua its the same for beta 4 than final, the thins that changues are in the fx one.

It would be cool than ED give us diferent configurations so we can use as we want.

PD: i didnt liked the beta hdr, too much blurry for me, but i dont like the final HRD , too much wet or aseptic.
