JG14_Smil Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 acemark brings up a good point about the InteliVibe output being too harsh at normal flight speeds. That much vibration causes fatigue after a long flight (true simming) :) If the TFS3 was optimised to work with DCS, it would rock.

IMHO, it could be much better when it comes to using it with DCS (all I fly is the KA-50, so a plane with more G forces might be different). It should start thumping as soon as the rotors do, but it does not. You need to acheive a certain speed for vibration effects like rotors and G forces to be felt. Great for low back pain though :) I would reccomend a tactile bass shaker instead with a powerful amp. The ivibe rotor modeling is not yet complete for the KA-50. It is in the works AFAIK. This export does not support IVIBE nor HELIOS. :( After trying several hours I got back to noemal "IVIBE and HELIOS" setup. For A-10 it works, but for the shark I get only A-10 to work with IVIBE and HELIOS. For any reason, the shark works only with Helios or with IVIBE :( Any idea for me ? I will save my judgement for then. Polecat, you one of their best supporters, but I have been around this for years and have seen how things work at Ivibe. I too look forward to the next version. I will say that without vibrations, the best cockpit in the world is a waste of time.

schkorpio Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I've just bought a buttkicker gamer v2 - I had no idea it would so crazy loud as it vibrates my chair so much the chair turns into a giant subwoofer and I imagine it would annoy the neighbouring apartments. I will probably ebay it unless I can find a way to isolate the vibration just to the seat of the chair. Is the ivibe TFS3 fairly quiet? more like a traditional game controller rumble? The TFS3 is a slow moving project for sure but even at this stage the results are far better then a traditional butt shaker speaker driven device. Gadroc Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I'm kind of interested in trying out a TFS3, but from their documentation in order to enable it for DCS World you have to turn off Export.lua. This is an absolute NO GO for anyone with a cockpit. Is this accurate? I have no idea why on earth they require setting of EnableExportScript to false. Also does anyone have dimensions for the seat pad? I'd need to verify it would work on my ACES seat.

SO everything is up to date.Running Helios to.I have noticed that I cant get into vehicals When TFS and Helios are running with D.C.S. C.A. , only fly. Just C.A. I can switch A/C , ground vehical just fine. Gadroc Why is it a no go ? I am building KA-50 pit and really want to keep my TFS 3 in it.I feel I am about to here more complicated bad news . Seat dimentions Base-19 and 3/4" wide x 16 and 1/4 " deep. Back- 19 and 3/4" wide at bottom ,11" wide at top x 17 and 3/4" high. PS Helios was a great invention I love it . metalnwood Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Acemark, pitbuilders rely on the export scripts top get information from the game to drive our external gauges/lights/switches etc. Helios, tars, ipad apps etc are examples of things that require DCS to export in game information through those scripts. I would have to think it's a typo otherwise how else does ivibe get their information?

In the older version of TFS3 you have had the choice to run it with its native software or via the exports. On the exports you had better/more vibrations due to implementation in the native software. On A-10 I can fly with helios and TFS3. KA-50 I have the choice TFS3 **OR** helios, both together will not work for any reason. Measurements: Around 40 cm seat, 40 cm back and 40 cm bright. AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick :thumbup:

G00dnight Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I am using peter p's exports on latest version of world this gives you all the exports for a10 and ka50 with individual names for each export so a10 and ka don't clash. for the ivibe bit I do nothing more than start the ivibe control panel and pick a plane it has a10,ka50 and fc3 p51 as defaults, don't know why p51 is listed under fc3..since world v1.2 I have not installed any ivibe stuff into exports it don't need it. tom your prob is what I was getting before peters brilliant mod for the export names. are your mfds etc named like A10_LEFT_MFD etc or the old way of just LMFD.. But ... so far I can see KA-50 and A-10 have different portnumbers for the helios exports. If I use only the "all in one export" in the shark the gauges do not work, knobs, etc from helios are recognized. In the GUI for helios I can also not add KA-50 as an device or even update the helios profile also for the shark. My shark installation will not be found by helios. Just click and choose your export.lua ans "UPLOAD". Thats it. I tried again with my A-10 profile in the shark, IVIBE works but Helios is not working: No knobs, no exported informations. EnableExportScript = false -- set true to enable Export.lua script, please intelliVIBE = true. I'll get my tfs file to post it to try. It has the same default name as the original, but I've edited it to get vibes working at a lower speed. If Helios does not work, make sure the setup button does not need to be updated.
