HawkeyeFierce Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Hi all, I'm writing a game diary on this sim on Quarter To Three. Here's the first entry: http://www.quartertothree.com/fp/2011/03/14/a-10c-warthog-me-vs-alphabet-soup/ It's from the perspective of a flight sim newbie, so it may not be of all that much interest to folks here, but I thought some of you might find it interesting. Enjoy! 6

Rusty_M Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I liked reading that. I have similar thoughts, as I'm fairly new to simming compared to most here. I bought the TrackIR in summer, and it's a world away from using a POV hat to look around the cockpit. Also, it frees up some controls on your joystick to assign to TMS or DMS or whatever. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
MTFDarkEagle Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Good read man :D I cried lauching :P  Having said that: Get to it man! It's been a couple of days now :P Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread

Legolasindar Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 (edited) Good article, only a one correction. But in the past 15 years or so air combat sims have stopped setting a place at the table for gamers like me.Thiis 15 years you have differents products for you, Ace Combat, HAWK, and similars, this games (little simulation) its similar to great simulators of the past, for example Ace o the Pacific, Red Baron 3D, EF2000 (yes, the original EF2000, if you analice is very similar product), etc... The simulators in the past are "arcade" (or more good say little simulation) in the present :smilewink: I remember the exellent X-29 Retailator, but in this days, this sim is a little sim. Ace Combat, Hawx and the like aren't really aiming at that.
