Hi there,

Nothing really important, but, hey, it's the wish list section smile.gif

Mission Editor :

I'll start with the wish that will most likely not be realised : a 3D mission editor.

Now something more plausible : a reworked, more intuitive 2D mission editor. A bit like the one in ArmA (I know I'm always talking about ArmA...) :

- Ability to rotate any unit directly on the map

- Ability to select multiple units (in order to move them)

- Ability to copy/paste units

- Ability to switch between "drawn" and satellit image textures

- Specific icons for each unit/object, with appropriate size

Free Camera :

A more intuitive free cam, like the one in ArmA (again...), Far Cry or anything, just something more user friendly.

Adding the ability to map all the camera movements to the joystick,...

Honestly I think there's no better example than the extremely intuitive and powerfull camera.sqs in ArmA. A 6 years old child could use it.

A way to fix the camera on a unit (a wing, a tank turret,...) would be welcome too.

Totally agree, especially the 'drawn' and satellite images and the specific icons bit. It would really help.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Some suggestions (maybe not new ones):

A new trigger action like "trigger-loop".

E.g. I have created a scenario where enemy units engaging a friendly position. Friendlies call for CAS, I do my job and everything is fine.

Then I would set a trigger that says "in x minutes/hours/days" restart this scenario from trigger "y".

So "same" enemy units would spawn again and they would engage same position etc.

But maybe this time we will lose our friendlies then i could set triggers for some reinforcements. If also reinforcments fail I could set a new trigger-loop and reinforments will spawn again in time x.

IMO this would make missions more dynamic.

If you continue to think, with such a trigger-loop function we could place all over the map tasks/situations like this (and for sure more complex ones) but this time it wouldnt be so static or it would not depend only on random triggers how the "battlefield" develops.

If such a trigger-loop could be implemented it would "only" require that also destroyed units (or clones?) can be activated again.

(and if we could get a (quick)save function it would not far from a dynamic-like CAS campaign. ;)

+1

I would totally agree with the idea to make the ME a little more user friendly in some places. The improvements mentioned above would make working with the ME less tedious and more effective as less time is spent with the repetition of small steps while building a mission.

Aye, a filter of sorts for "part of coalition in zone" would indeed be wonderful. I always kinda thought it would be important to stipulate which part of the coalition, aircraft, player aircraft, ground units, etc.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
