muamshai Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Thank you DCS, Wags, all ED personnels/Testers and mods who are directly or indirectly involved with the production of DCS series. After this disaster of IL2: Cows of Dover (I mean Cliffs of Dover) and many unclear things, I have to say that you folks are probably the only ones in the market who keep us informed about development cycle, reply to our questions very patiently and keep us in loop about any possible delays/problems. After feeling a bit disappointed from CoD, I felt to write and share my thoughts here. Let's not talk about CoD but just write a few words of gratitude towards DCS series :) This space is available for your advertisement

Itkovian Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 By all means, praise ED. But don't go and put down other sims. Simming is NOT a genre that can afford having its own fans preying on its developers. Better to encourage more dev houses to participate, than discourage the already existing ones from persisting in a very narrow niche genre. Just my two cents. Thank you. Itkovian
Sarge55 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Agree that we should refrain from commenting on another sim here but to clarify he's probably refering to the issue that has appeared about changes made to COD to address an epilepsy concern. Phantom88 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I'm very Happy The way DCS handles updates/patches/news. THX DCS! Patrick
Erdem Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I think dumping Ubisoft as the publisher has been the best thing happened to ED. It's possible to self-publish these days with the introduction of digital distribution. Ubisoft killed the Silent Hunter series and dumbed down the Rainbow Six series, now I think it's IL-2's turn. I hope IL-2 team will somehow manage to find another publisher or do it themselves.
Conure Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I'm a little out of the loop - What's happened to the new IL game? Intel i7 6700k, Asus GTX1070, 16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Rudder Pedals, Samsung Evo 850 SSD @ 500GB * 2, TrackIR 5 and 27" monitor running at 2560 * 1440, Windows 10.
FZG_Immel Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 apparently they are to release it even if it's far to be ready. **** ubisoft- [sIGPIC]https://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70550_3.gif[/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-H - SSD M.2 EVO 970 - Intel I9 @5.0ghz - 32gb DDR4 4000 - EVGA 3090 - Cougar FSSB + Virpil WRBRD + Hornet Stick - Thrustmaster TPR Pedal + WinWing MIP + Orion + TO and CO pannels - Track IR5

NoJoe Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Thank you DCS, Wags, all ED personnels/Testers and mods Just to hop back on topic: And to be pedantic ( :P ) : "DCS" isn't an entity, it's a product developed by Eagle Dynamics. So a big thank you to Eagle Dynamics, Wags, and all personnel and testers and moderators for their parts in bringing DCS to life! :D --NoJoe
