Jona33 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Right, I've looked through here and the manual. What command slews mav to Markpoint. Doesn't matter what markpoint I select of If I use TMS up long (I think, not a WH HOTAS owner) to slew Mav to Spi nothing happens. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
cichlidfan Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 The markpoint must be your SPI first and then with the MAV screen as your SOI you press China Hat Fwd Long and that will slave the maverick seeker to the current SPI. Jona33 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 So, I slew the TGP to the markpoint, set as SPI, slew mav, fire mav, re select TGP and move to next markpoint, set as SPI etc? Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
kylania Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 So, I slew the TGP to the markpoint, set as SPI, slew mav, fire mav, re select TGP and move to next markpoint, set as SPI etc? Laud Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 With using marks: Slew/Zoom/Point Track TGP to target Create a bunch of marks Switch to Mark mode on your waypoints selector switch Switch to MAV MFD SOI DMS Up Short to switch to next mark China Hat Forward Long to slew Mav to SPI TMS Up Short to track Fire Repeat as needed Wouldn't you need to set HUD as SOI, before you can switch markpoints by DMS up/down (Steer-(Mark-)point increment/decrement)? Baggy MacDouche Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 ^Not if you either use the rocker switch on the UFC using the mouse, or map it directly to your keyboard or HOTAS. That's what I did. I used a modifier along with one of the hats. That way it is just as Kylania described. With six Mavs and six markpoints, I can get all of them off the rails in about 15-20 seconds tops. But he wrote DMS up/down and not UFC rocker or something. So for a beginner reading it, it should have added "HUD SOI" or replace DMS up/down with the proper switch. pringliano Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Great thread thanks to everyone involved! Out of topic:UFC steerpoint button I am using ipadpit for this, with the UFC above the 2 MFD's. It's true that I need to leave the throttle to press the button, but the real pilot has to do it too
degoe Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) A question for TM Warthog users --- have you mapped your UFC Steer switch to your hotas? I find it hard having to set HUD as SOI to change mark points, and using the mouse to click the UFC Steer switch is a bit cumbersome as well. Or is there a way to cycle mark points outside of setting the HUD as SOI? Map your ufc steerpoint up and down keys to your keyboard. Makes switching steerpoints a lot easier. Here is a short tutorial I made Edited September 1, 2012 by degoe
