Weapon profile saving

Haven't watched the track, but it sounds like you're choosing the weapon by directly selecting it in the DSMS? If so, that creates a temporary default profile for that weapon. It won't used the saved profiles.

To use the profile, you need to select the profile. There's three ways I know of to select a profile:

  • Go to the DSMS profiles page, scroll down to highlight the profile you want, and select the ACTIVATE PROFILE (ACT PRO?) button.
  • Set the HUD as the SOI, and use DMS Left/Right to cycle profiles.
  • Use the SEL rocker switches on the UFC.

Edit: now I have watched the track, and that's exactly the problem. Note that after you saved your profile the first time and returned to the DSMS profiles page, the active profile was shown as M/GBU-31 - not one of the configured profiles. When you have a configured profile loaded, the DSMS profiles page will have the active profile highlighted.

what nomdeplume said.

The manual isn't totally clear about the manual profiles. I didn't realize until recently that if you do a manual profile like you did in the .trk and then choose a different weapon, that the changes you had just made gets lost.

To make things stick you need to either change the default profile or create a new profile in the DSMS profile page.

Oh i see, thanks very much guys, now i understand, i cannot save single weapon profiles, i must unselect all weapons and made changes from profilelist and then save and when i wanna use saved profile i must choose it too from profile list(all weapons unselected -> profile) and not single weapon?

But if i'm sure im not change weapon before use i can do it like track.

Not sure exactly what you mean here Kankkis, but if you follow the directions above to save a profile for the weapon (and you can actually add a custom name to it if you want), you can use the DMS right and DMS left to scroll through ALL profiles for ALL weapons right in the HUD. Thus you can set up a weapon in CCRP mode and name that profile "WPNCCRP" and set the same weapon up in CCIP mode and name it "WPNCCIP" and have them both available to scroll through. The one exception to this is that you can TURN OFF profiles in the scroll list if you don't want them to show up.

The attachment below is a combo checklist/directions/commands list type of list that may help you find your way through the options. It's still a work in progress so I can't guarantee it's completely correct.

Thanks, Looks hard, it's weird that it's so hard to save profiles a plane like that. Weird that you cannot overwrite default profiles if you don't like them

You can. Just change the profile as required, save it and then select it using either the UFC, DMS (with HUD as SOI), or the MFD OSBs.

Give it a shot. It sounds complicated but after you've done it a couple of times it's pretty straight forward.
