I have a question - would increasing the RAM to 8GB provide ANY benefit to A-10C? Right now I have 4GB and its running fantastic, but I was wondering whether increasing RAM would permit the sim to fly better - increased texture loads, etc etc.

Any ideas/opinions?

Your Win X64 must feel neglected when you "only" got 4 GB ;)

FPS wise, you probably won't see any difference.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Adding more ram can help when it comes to loading and unloading memory. The only time you will you see stuttering is when it must unload data such as scenery or objects. But if you have enough RAM, the better the chances of the game LOADing the data, then unload unused data in the background. This is why people with more RAM wont notice the stuttering.

Its also useful if you run a lot of applications in the background. If you have enough RAM, you can play the game, run skype, browsers, and tons of other applications with no problem. I have 12gigs and will soon get 24. Im a 3D Artist and need the ram!

Thanks for the replies. Yes, as I expected 4GB appears to be OK for the sim. Even with Firefox and Foxit (Adobe PDF replacement) running in the background, my box does not consume more than 3GB with A-10C running. I've actually never seen the 4GBs used. I am sure that there might be some additional benefits of adding additional RAM but I don't think that it would increase FPS. Right now its pretty much stable around 70-90fps with everything maxed out. When it does dip, never goes below 40fps from what I have observed.
