pii Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 No matter what keys I use I can not make the engines start. I've followed the walk through and training and when I get to the part where you start the engine They will not start. I've remapped them and still nothing. I placed them on my JS buttons and still nothing. Whats up with this? Help Also is there a cheat start up like in Black Shark? The bright is that I've done the strtup so many times I almost have it down...now if only the engines would start
mtuckner Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Right Control + Home and Right Alt + Home should move the throttles to idle if I remember correctly. If you haven't remapped them, they should work. Are the engines failing to fire up fully, or you can't get the throttles to bump up into idle? There is also a quick startup key sequence, can't remember what it is.
PhiXX Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 make sure the throttle of your hotas is at the down position, or the ingame throttles wont go into idle

Maybe you're not letting the APU power up and stabilize? Trying to start the right engine first? Got your fuel pumps on (all four)? Are turning off your APU after starting the first engine (should be on for start of BOTH engines)? Also, check the wiki for Reference Docs for cold start procedure, follow exactly AND under the Guides section is the excellent Start-up guide, check em out! http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/DCS:_A10C_Training_Supplements Also, search this forum, there are quite a few threads on this topic, usually a new thread once a week :) But it is a complex game for sure and that is certainly frustrating, so keep poking around and holler if you need more help! wtfisgoingon Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Make sure your throttles are at zero. Sometimes it happens to me and I just push my throttle full then to zero and then engines will start. i7-920 @3.8Ghz / MSI X58m / 8GB DDR3 / 2 x HD5770 / Asus-vw226h @1920x1200 / 2x OCZ Vertex 2 80GB SSD's / Win 7-64 / TrackIR 5 / Saitek x52 / Razer BlackWidow Mech Keyboard / Razer Deathadder Stuttering or fps problems? A lot of new pilots overlook this....

LOL Make sure engine fuel flow switches are UP (norm). I noticed when they are down (override) the APU will stall. Aviate - Navigate - Communicate
BlackRazor Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Also please post a track so that we can see what you're doing wrong.
