Hi all,

I just got this marvelous piece of software and am quite happy with it - still trying to figure out how to take off though ;)

Well, I am running it on TM Hotas Warthog with Track IR4. HOTAS works, TrackIR4 works - in terms of all head movements translated into cockpit view movement.

I just need to adjust some axis. Like moving head up and down (Y) or zooming in out (Z) is not sensitive enough. So I have to really move around in chair like crazy and I never get to see the panels really close (moving down on Y) - it only works when I take the reflector in my hand and move it up and down - but not on my head.

So I played around in the TrackIR software and found profiles, editing them, adjusting curves etc. This all works perfect when in Test mode (showing Head, Vector and Gauges) but as soon as I start the game controls are back to normal (like selected profile in DCS A10C not taken into account).

I tested changing the Default too, but no effect. So I am a bit helpless now. How do I get my changes transferred into the game?! Track IR is not showing up in Options - Control.

Thanks

make sure both TIR and dcs are run as admin, and you may wish to set your profile for WH to exclusive in the tir software ui

Action After Contemplation

Ok, just to check my workflow:

I start TrackIR software as Administrator. I go to Profiles, find the "DCS A10C" game and in the dropdown select the edited profile (the one I set to exclusive).

Then I start DCS A10C as administrator (have the steam version, so will have to start the .exe from the folder).

Thats it? No other settings or selecting anything within DCS A10C game itself? The whole TrackIR settings and adjustments are only done via TrackIR Software?

Anyone here using it with this game? Do you have issues "getting down" to clearly see the lower front panel gauges?

Also remember you need to set the Title for the profile to be used as Black Shark. It does not use the Title for DCS:A-10 when the sim starts.

Even though you may be editing your profile correctly, it may be defaulting back to the default profile when you load up the sim.

Ahh ... I was having the same difficulty. It appears that the key is to assign whatever Track IR profile you want for DCS A10C to the BlackShark title in the TrackIR software. Rather than to the DCS A10C title!!?? Is that mentioned anything in the docs/helpme's??

Thanks so much for clearing that up.

Im not following,,,,, when I open TrackIR as Admin, under "Advanced Settings", ther are (3) Tabs, "Profile/Titles/Camera"

With the "Profiles" tab highlighted, there is a drop down menu for profile, but it only lists "Default/One:One/Smooth"

If I click on the "Titles"Tab, I do so many game titiles, Including "DCS:A-10C"

But the only option I see really is either switch it to :"Default/One:One/Smooth"

or Add it to Favorites?

I was not able to follow the path listed above which states;

"I start TrackIR software as Administrator. I go to Profiles, find the "DCS A10C" game and in the dropdown select the edited profile (the one I set to exclusive)."

I have a Tracker IR4 Pro with the latest TrackIR 5.1 software.Win 7 64bit. Thanks for any help

Not sure if your responding to my inquirey? If so, thanks, but the question I have is regarding how to actually load the profile exclusively.

I suppose I did not ask my question properly? Heres another attempt though. When I open the PROFILES tab, the only options in the drop down menu that are available for selection are "Default/One:One/Smooth", nothing else, and the check box for selecting "Exclusive" is to the imediate right of that drop down menu.

Unless what your trying to say is 1st go to the "Titles" 1st, highlight the title you want, then click on the "Profiles" tab and hit select?

If I understand your question correctly, in TIR5 software Profiles tab, look to the right of Exclusives box. You'll see a "+" sign. When hovering your mouse, it will say "create new profile." You name it, and then you can modify and save profile. Then, it should appear in various drop down menus in TIR, including the one for Titles to select.

I have never downloaded someone else's Profile. I assume there is a folder to save it to and the software will see it in the various drop-down lists.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, if you want a profile for A10C, it apparently has to be listed in the "Black Shark" title to work.

HTH.

Thanks for the feedback, I was not trying to create a custom profile, I was trying to utilize Wags TrackIR profile and I could not figure out why I could not bring it up under the profiles drop down menu to make it an exclusive load. I think I resolved it though, as there are 2 profile directories you can navigate to in Win 7, I simply put it in the wrong one it seems, now I can see it to make it exclusive.
