What do I need to learn before starting working on a russian version of leavu?

Very cool idea!

I would gladly help you do this, but first I think we should effectively make the data export part from lua to java a bit standardized, so that we can retrieve all data that we need. Then we probably should look to make leavu slightly more efficient and move its 3d (yes leavu does in fact render 3d instruments) to JOGL 2 (from JOGL1), which is essentially an OpenGL wrapper for Java.

We should ask others who wants to help out in the process, so that we could make some general walkthrough on teamspeak/skype/msn or something like that, explaining to everyone how I made it previously and how we could make a new version for many people to work on. I suggest we might want to create a new thread and list the different instruments and pages we want for the different planes, then we can work out what we need together.

I have not been able to answer or read your posts lately, cause I have been on a work/business trip in Russia the entire week. Now I finally got my internet connection working here in Moscow so tonight (now) I'll answer some questions if there are any.

This monday I was in Moscow but moving through customs took 5 hours, so I was very tired that night :), then on tuesday we flew to Ulyanovsk, and now today I'm back in Moscow. Tomorrow I head back to Sweden but it is possible I will be back in Moscow for MAKS air show, we will see what my boss decides :pilotfly:.

S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'

Yoda; I'm takIng my first steps on leaning code; but I'm a bit better on 3dmax (I'm actually a graphic designer); maybe I can start working on the 3d Instruments; oh... and what would be the poly and texture parameters required? I did a 3d wood plank for a design company using paparvision 3d pluging for 3dmax; maybe your idea works the same? I didn't do the coding though. Let me know if we can start working on something.... now that I think about it we would need some reference about how the russian displays work!; I got a su-27 on a word document on Engrish with some illustrations; we could use that. One last thing; since I'm going to be working on a new website for myself; maybe we could mount a blog about the project. Let me know what do I need to learn or what can I do to help.

I have the download provided on page 1, it checks out green on Modman 7.3, yet I "fail" the integrity check.

I have Combatance Su-33 model + Joint Pack 2.1 Extended if that is the problem.

"Integrity Check Failed"

wut did i do?! :(

I have the A10-Su27-F15C Jointpack and Combatance Su33, is that the problem?

Those mods are not the problem on our server anyway. Maybe something else. You can try our modman pack that will reset only the files you need to default. Download here here from the 104th forums for our server.

Others server have modman packs as well such as the 51st

If you really want help, get TeamSpeak 3, as texting and flying don't mix well :) Here are the 104th details for TS

Sorry, missed you tried the download. If you are using Tacview, go into the Tacview menu and uncheck the record Flaming Cliffs 2 option. Turn it back on for single player or if you watch a track of a multiplier flight.

Thanks Crunch, it works.

Should I bother with Teamspeak? I mean, I am really awkward over the phone. Life? Easy. Text? Easy. Phone/voice chat? Awkwerrrrrd...

Yes get it asap, its good to talk or just listen.

You will find everyone on a dedicated TS, mature, helpful and friendly, there is no pressure to be vocal, you don't need to tell your life story, just listen in and you'll soon see how valuable TS is in the FC environment.

Entertainment value. :D Within a few months, you will bear witness to a couple of domestics, family pets, mothers, little brothers, police sirens, humping neighbours. There's also the slim chance you might learn something too.
