Set your TACAN to A/A TR mode, hit TCN on the NMSP, then range should be provided in the upper left of your HSI. That's a lot of acronyms. Hm. DCS Wiki! :book:

This always provides a bearing, but it doesn't seem to always provide a distance. I thought aircraft were all supposed to be on Y (yankee) TACAN channels, but after making a mission where I left the tanker on an X (x-ray) channel, then I finally starting seeing a range on the HSI. Am I just smoking something here, or does the tanker really have to be on an x-ray TACAN channel to have range displayed? Druid_ Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 If my memory serves me right, it doesnt matter which channel you use, the main reason tankers used to set Y channels is just so they didn't accidently interfere with an airfield tacan freq which were all X. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q

Probably a sim issue, but if you're not in TR mode it should only give a bearing. Could be you accidentally left set it to receive only mode? DCS Wiki! :book:
