Open the mission in the Mission Editor. Select your Airframe and navigate to the 'Payload' screen. Self-explanatory from there (drop-down menu's et al to the right).

 

But that only applies to the specific mission that I am editing and does not carry over with unitpayloads.lua.

correct. to my knowledge nobody has yet come up with a way of creating custom payloads to include cannon ammo and/or chaff/flare loads and importing those settings to multiplayer.

Can i use custom payloads on all MP servers? Or is there an integrity check when you join a server? I would really love to have my own ninja loadout in MP.

to my knowledge it works in any mp server it is really quite useful

 

my biggest recommendation is to drop the aim-9s on several loadouts as most missions don't have you hunting aircraft.

Just to make sure I understand it: To have custom loadouts appear for everybody in a MP mission, everybody would have to make this modification on his own, right?

 

Would be really helpful if customized loadouts could be provided by the mission-file, so that everybody joining the game would have the same loadouts to choose from!

yes @Laud that would be truely nice ....

there should be a list from which you(the radiomenue) can choose the predefined(several) loadouts which where made from the missioncreator in the ME.

 

Right now its like: Imake a mission with dumb bombs only, BUT i want to get refuel on the airport -> so i have to set own units near the airport ... this implements the possibility for all the other players to take a loadout according to theire wishes and NOT according to the wishes of the missionbuilder....

 

well of course i can close my server and kick anybody who tries to destroy the "balance" of the mission, or the only interesting thing on the mission ... but i think its not the road we want to walk ;-)
