mvsgas Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) I really enjoyed the aggressive displays of the Turkish F-16, Swedish Gripen, French Rafale and British Eurofighter. The Red Arrows were outstanding, the Lancaster and Vulcan were awesome. Turkish F-16? Did not know they do displays. Edit I like the paint job. aaron886 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I have a fever... and the only cure is more Rafale!

Case Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Some pictures from the Ukranian Su-27UB. It was from the 831st at Mirgorod. I got a chance to sit in the cockpit and walk around the airplane. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take pictures from inside the cockpit. There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
Case Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Turkish F-16? Did not know they do displays. Apparently they only started doing this recently. The paintjob was indeed cool, but not as cool as the orange lion on the Dutch F-16. Of the 4 F-16 displays I saw yesterday the Turkish was best, followed closely by the Dutch one, then the Danish and the Belgian displays. But the reason Turkish display was the best (keep in mind I was not there, just talking about the video) is because they had an GE power F-16, better TTW :joystick: ... and the other Displays where using A models. RaXha Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Just came back from the UK a few minutes ago. The show was great! It made me proud as a Swede to see that the first jet display of the show was the Swedish Saab JAS-39 Gripen, defying the rain that had been pouring all morning. The best displays to me was, not in any particular order: The Red Arrows was very nice, it was my first time seing them IRL and i was very impressed. The French Rafale C, that guy looked like he was completely mad, and the swedish pilots looked completely mesmerized when he was running his display. The Turkish F-16, a -3 to +9 G display is not to bad ;). The Chinook, more maneuverable than they appear. and, of course, The fantastic A-10C display! I will be going through my camera tomorrow, i might have a few photos to upload :pilotfly:
