For those who are going to make the video I recommend this software:

Fraps, Sony Vegas 9 pro or sony vegas 10 pro, 32 bits or 64 bits depending on RAM and computer you have.

Spend about 20 hours on this one and 32gigs on footage.

Sorry about graphic, my 9600GT can't handle it on max with fraps on...

 

It would also be nice if you would tell something about you and why you deserve to win the X52. Because my vote has a weight of 10points... wink.gif

Well, im 15 y/o. I come from little country in Baltic region called Latvia. :)

Why I want x52? First of all, because I cant afford it now. And second - you can't buy them in Latvia... :(

That shape just always makes me think reactor.

 

Both videos are great and enjoyable. Love the dogfighting A10s. Blip of the GAU destroys jets. Too bad its so heavy. Would be great fitted to an F15.

Here's my contribution. :joystick:

Flown and partly rendered on my Ideapad Y560 with a Logitech Wingman joystick.

i7 1.73GHz, 4GB ram, Radeon 5700 mobile.

 

Some of the shots were FRAPS'd at 1/4 speed and then sped up in Sony Vegas due to the abysmal frame rate. The others were done by my brother back in the states.

 

While it's currently not in the cards to upgrade my peripherals this is a great opportunity for me. I've gotten to know and love my Wingman stick but her days are numbered.

Small tip - if your video is speed up 4 times, then your audio will be over pitched. To avoid that, right click on your audio-properties-change method to "classic"-enter your audio lenght that is speed up 4 times in "New Lenght" and then click "Lock to Stretch"

Then speed up your video 4 times. :P

Nice competition everybody. I helped Squirrel on some of the shots and it really makes you appreciate the game when you get into the details. I know if I hadn't bought the game yet, seeing some of these videos would have definitely sold me.

I will ask a Moderator if it is possible to add a 2week poll to this tread - If not - I will open tomorrow a new thread only for the vote.

 

I would also like to change the rule #5.

Than we will a 2week poll including all entries to select the best Three .

After this first round we will have another poll for 2weeks to determined the winner of the three best movies!

After seen some threads like this and this I first wanted to donate my unused X52 (absolute good condition) to someone how really needs it but can't afford.

But after thinking allot of It I wanted to make it a little more challenging and decided the person have to do something that will entertain all of us.

This also fits perfectly to fill the summer break!

 

So here it is:

1st DCS Movie Maker Smack-Down

starts in:

The rules :

 

1.

You need to make a DCS-A10C Movie with "Green Machine" from Kyuss as soundtrack. (Why this song ?! >http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1251506#post1251506 )

Example:

 

(now close your eyes and imagine what great DCS-A10 Movie that could be!)

 

2.

Max length of the movie is 5min!!

 

3.

Only absolute new never published material is allowed. (The Community will have a sharp eye on this!)

 

4.

You have to upload your Video on Youtube until the 11th August 2011
