billyzero Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Left Control + UP means while holding down the left-side Ctrl button on your keyboard, you also press the "up" arrow on your keyboard. The grouping of 4 arrow keys, one pointing up, one down, one left, and one right. So you are pressing and holding LCtrl and then pressing the Up arrow. LCtrl + UP Long means hold the up arrow down a bit. LCtrl + UP short means just press the UP arrow and release it quickly. Look at the tutorials or even the Youtube videos, they will teach you TONS and they are quite fun to watch. Most importantly, stick with this! This game is SO rewarding when you do things right. You get a real sense of accomplishment when those tanks go all asplodey from your missiles.
Nu-NRG Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Tho I use TM WH, so I can give you the version for HOTAS Missile EO to ON, wait for alignment - cca 3min. Use DSMS (either via MFCD or HOTAS) to select maverick as weapon. (assuming you are on ingress) slew the maverick targeting reticule on the target so that it lock's up.Or if you are carrying TGP, make that SPI, slew maverick to SPI and just flip TMS forward till maverick locks. There is more to maverick which would be best experienced trough "trial and error" along with manual. Aviate - Navigate - Communicate
gravecad Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 Fireing Mavericks HI. The button on the joystick will not fire mavericks. Everthing else fires, gun, Aim 9s and CBU`s. How do you fix it so that i can fire Maveriks again?
cichlidfan Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 HI. The button on the joystick will not fire mavericks. Everthing else fires, gun, Aim 9s and CBU`s. How do you fix it so that i can fire Maveriks again? The gun and the other weapons do not use the same button. Your CBUs etc should be using the release weapon button while the gun uses the trigger. If you are able to release other weapons then it is not the button but the Maverick which is not ready to fire. You can not fire a maverick unless it is locked onto something. If you try you should get an error message on the MAV MFCD. If you can expand on what is happening, post a screen or track then perhaps someone can be of more help.;) ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! EtherealN Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Quick checklist: 1 - Weapon system armed? 2 - Maverick Profile selected in DSMS? 3 - Maverick seeker on MFCD and SOI? 4 - Maverick locked on target? If the above is correct, they should fire. As cichlidfan mentions, a track file can help us see what's going wrong. To save a track file, fly a flight (preferably short one) where you attempt to fire Mavericks, and after exiting the flight select "Save Track". You can then upload the trk file to the forum through selecting "Go Advanced" below the reply box and selecting the paperclip icon.
