I feel a little silly asking about this, and i'll probably find the answers after i post, but here goes.

1. Where in the manual does it explain A2A refueling

2. How do i extend the nozzle on my jet

3. How do i find the nearest tanker.

3. How do i get the tanker to extend the boom.

Im using the 'R' key for nozzle, but does nor open it. Is it speed or some other logic related.

Thanks

Which aircraft?

Only the Su-33, the F-15C and A-10A are capable of aerial refuelling.

I knew there had to be a simple explaination. Ive been trying with the Su27 and the Su25T......

I'll go away and try it out with one of the above. Then come back if i'm still having trouble.

Thanks.

Im back.

It seems i need to be able to call awacs etc to find the nearest tanker. I have checked the keyboard commands in the options screen, and '\' is designated for radio commands menu. I have tried this from several planes, but cannot get any menu on the screen. It there some reason why this menu would not appear for me.

Thanks

^fortunately tankers are huge making them easy to detect at more than 250km with the Su-33. Air refueling is a pain though. First time I did it I spent maybe 20 minutes trying to make it work. Little more power, little more, TOO MUCH. :D

I have done airrefeulling in Su-33, and have watched a air refuel training track by IRONHAND. However i havent ever even once tried a refuel with either the F-15 or A-10 neither have i seen any tracks or videoclips of anyone who has done air refuelling. What indicators are on the HUD for connecting the tanker boom to the F15/A10?

Has anyone done a airrefuel, or have a track available? I'd like to try but a example will be helpful.

Refueling the F-15 is done exactly the same way ( match Alt and Speed, Press "R" ) the difference is that the you refuel them by the KC- 10A Tanker equipped with a refueling boom and that you'r not extending any probe but open the refueling hatch on the left side behind your canopy.

Actually it's easyer to refuel the F-15 because when your in position the refueling routine is scripted so you simply can let go the stick until your bird is filled up.

The F 15 has an indicator green light in the top left side of the canopy showing you if your refueling hatch is open.

you can only get the position of your tanker reported in if you allso got an AWACS in the air. Otherwise you have to find the tanker by your own radar or by looking for the lable if you got the lables on.

This goes for the SU33 too
