Every game i have ever bought has lasted a few days at most before av done everything in it. now i have no idea how many weeks i have had this game, but today i got my 1st gbu12 strike on target and it was amazing.

This is truly the 1st game i have ever bought that will outlast any other game i will ever buy.

Yes it does have a big learning curve and i still have no idea what half the things in this game means, but when it does come together for ya its a great feeling.

This game pays for itself every day with the smile it brings to my face

Yup. You can get years of enjoyment out of a single $60 purchase. Can't beat the value. And yet people complain it's too expensive... the only issue is for newbies who have never really had any flight sim experience, and they don't know if they will enjoy it or not, $60 can be a big risk. A demo might be in ED's best interest, but who knows if the added sales would offset the development cost. After, a joystick is also a requirement. And quite likely, you'd get people who actually didn't buy the game based off of their experiences with the demo. And I bet there's a few people who only stuck with it and got a rewarding experience because they paid $60 and didn't want their money wasted.

I played lockon all versions and got myself a x52 for that.

and at first with this game, i used game mode. but after a few goes i wanted to feel the game for what it really was.

the main fault for me is the doc file, its just to long

but the forums offer a better way to learn, and i soon got the hang of whats what

True and true. This sim will last for many years to come. Take for example the people who still plays Jane's F-15 and F-18 until today, fifteen years after their release. Not to mention the Falcon community...

This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly:

Hundreds of hours so far...ridiculous value for $60.

Though, on a side note, Thrustmaster should be giving a portion of their proceeds to DCS. Of the thousands of Warthogs they've sold for $500 per, how many were sold to people who weren't flying DCS? :D

Really? I'm completely bored with it already...But I have been flight simming for ages. I guess my expectations are just too high for the gaming/sim industry anymore.

I know it will last very long but til they box you up might be a bit exaggerate... Who know maybe 10 years later ED might decided to remake a better version A-10C sim. :D Edited by thaisocom

The Sim itself is great value, I have no doubt I'll using it for many years to come, and I bet the experience will remain fresh. This Sim is a study in the art of user generated content. What other game could achieve that?

However, I dare not recount the cost of all of the "essential" peripheries and accoutrements to go with it. The list is growing, and all of its expensive :)

I personally will be buying everything ED releases until they run out of

planes\ helicopters\tanks\ships\segways to make sims for :P

And that means I don't have to spend £30+ on an xbox game I use for 6 hours and then never pick up again.

Life is good.

Starting your sentence with "Hell" and ending with, "Send me back to Jesus" was probably not the best method of convayance, but I do understand. How he will take it is yet to be known.

OK. All kidding aside.

Longevity of DCS is graetly dependant on us. Tell a freind, show your family members. Get this game out there beyond the

marketing stratigy that takes alot of the profit from such a small group of developers, (Comparatively Speaking). And we will recieve the add ons and the extentions of this geat title along with more future products.

Since I've bought the beta I've spent close to 200 hrs with the sim. I call that a pretty good value for my money. :D

I've been playing computer games since the mid-80s and there are only about a dozens games that come close to that.

I bought A10 when it was at Beta, fly every day with mates at it never gets old, find something new everyday. Damn I've still not tried Jtac or even a full mission as we are only allowed 1hr a night to fly because of rules set by our wife's. Always seem that just as we complete one objectiv to move onto another that's it times up.

However just flying around doing nav training, air to air refuelling and weapons training is great fun.

Can't wait to fly alongside my Blackshark as well.

This will certainly give Falcon a run for it's money as to how long we fly it. Might even outlast the real A10 :)

Keep up the great work DCS

I hear ya on this one.. I'll be flying this sim for years, even after my 1 year old grows up.. The boy and i will be flying it together as long as the sim is compatible with the windows OS.
