  1. I still run 1.0.0.9. 60 frames consistently. World is just unplayable in comparison.
  2. I'm still having a blast with standalone version 1.0.0.9. A constantly smooth-running experience with frames consistently at 34-60. No stutters, no crashes, no frustration. World is nice and pretty, but the 10- fps during explosions is just too much of a compromise. Huge props to ED on the progress though!
  3. I was actually getting this same error in 0.9 pretty consistently.
  4. The mortars will fire twenty-five rounds in about 3 1/2 minutes (about one every nine seconds). When those twenty-five rounds are expended, that's it...the tubes are useless.
  5. CAP = Combat Air Patrol; your fighter cover. They are there to support you. It isn't your fault if they get shot down. It won't affect your score.
  6. In the trigger menu you can set a trigger to PLAY SOUND. This can be any sound file you wish.
  7. I believe the frequency is irrelevant when selecting the "Other" option. Am I wrong? Of course you need the correct frequency to receive a verbal acknowledgment, but not to send a request.
  8. '87s work fine for any tank in the sim, provided you set the HOF at 300 and bomb accurately. Don't expect to take out more than one tank per pair of bombs though. It's certainly not the most economical method of destroying armor, but it gets the job done.
  9. http://www.ikvpaxchristi.nl/files/Documenten/wap%20cluster%20munitie/Clustermunition/Lot-Acceptance-Report.pdf Also: When the dispensers open at 300' ft AGL with a RPM setting of 400-500, the BLU-97s will decimate an area larger than 20,000 square ft.
  10. 300 ft HOF is pretty effective when you're dropping '87s on a tank, provided you're accurate enough for the "exploding heap" to actually hit the tank. It's certainly not the most efficient way to kill armor but if your only remaining weapons are a couple of CBU-87s and your target is a T-80, then at least you get to go home and put another hash mark next to the tank painted on your fuselage.
  11. In-game adjustments: Curvature 15 on both pitch and roll. 30 on the pedals. No adjustments in the CH software for me. Suits me well.
  12. Mission file, please? Edit: Nevermind...Shooting Gallery...
  13. In regard to #4: Although it will still occur in this sim if a flight is set to take off on the runway, there are reasons that loaded aircraft don't routinely take off in pairs IRL. 5#: Some aircraft do indeed disappear after shutting down, but I haven't quite figured out what the criteria is for that to occur. Hell, a couple of times my wingman's aircraft disappeared even as he was taxiing for takeoff.
  14. Yup...ya can't beat helicopters using rockets in air-to-air combat:doh:
  15. Yeah, I have quite the library of radio clips I've created to make the sim a little more immersive for me. It's fun to have a JTAC desperately pleading with you to lay down fire because his company is being overrun; or to listen to the random chatter of the sexy female Eagle pilot on CAP duty;). The possibilities are endless really.
  16. I use Senaki 90% of my time in SP flights. I've never been directed to either take off or land from/to 27:wassat:
  17. Here are a few various sound files I use when smoke-marking via triggers. JTAC Sound Pack.rar
  18. What I believe Slacker is saying is that no, IRL there is no change of settings required. Dropping bombs with "Consent to Release" enabled should have no effect on how the Mavericks function. It's a bug in the sim.
